What have you done today to get ready for Glastonbury 2023?

Been getting my things together bit by bit. I don't need much really. Socks, a jumper, a hoody, some t-shirts, few shirts, jacket, cap, beanie, booze, snacks, flannel, towel, sleeping bag, tent. That's about it for me.

Spent yesterday jumping from band to band at Dot to Dot festival in Bristol. Plenty of good music, beer, walking and sun, perfect Glastonbury prep. Feels like the summer has properly started now!

13 mile walk along the Water of Leith to properly road test the new shoes. Overall very successful. No blisters or sore areas.

That's about it for me as well. Minus the shirts. They're not warm enough at night and they always feel weird under my hoodie 🤭

1st time putting up a new tent today, all set. Bring it on!!!

Tents had an airing, wipe down, hoover and waterproofing today. Not much left to do now.

Added the dj decks and a laser type light a few days back . Today I added some crazyfool lettering and hid the battery box with some beads

I tested out my new sleeping setup last night 😄

Big Agnes Air Core Ultra mat, Exped inflatable + down pillow, a random Tempur travel pillow I got for free years ago, a sleeping bag liner to use as a sheet over the mat, and my sleeping bag to use as a duvet (I don't like being constrained in a mat as I move around quote a bit before I get off to sleep)

Worked pretty well but I need a bigger liner if I'm going to use it as a sheet without making the mat curl up at the bottom (it's a mummy-style liner) and I wonder if the sleeping bag will be warm enough to use as a duvet as it traps air less well when you're not cocooned in it.

Yeah, they can be a bit weird to wear under hoodies! The shirts are my one attempt at feeling a bit dressed up (weather depending...!)

no im usually further back where there is plenty of space and arrive early ,did get carried away a couple of times last year .

Concluded that the Moth Cocktails were worth the investment after a weekend away camping. Coleman Extreme cool box has performed very well too.

I know...it's tragic. But it's hard being a magpie in a cost of living crisis 🤷🏼‍♀️ It's the only thing I've ever bought from there to be fair. All my other outfits are from vinted 👍🏼

Had hoped to air out the tent but alas, that will have to be next weeks task.

Bought a roof rack for the car today though, so hopefully a bit more space heading down this year.

I’ve been up the loft and all stuff Glastonbury has been brought down. A favourable weather day here in Scotland so I’ll be giving the tent a set up to make sure all is in working order.

Put some clothes to 1 side in the wardrobe and booked a chiropodist's appointment

Trialed out setting up the tent... My garden is too small so popped across the road to the fields. Horses were very nosey...
