Saw Fontains set yesterday, don't know why they would have removed it. They used to show the sets by stage but now list by a percieved catagory. It was under Guitars. Looks like Idles has been taken down as well and i wanted to see that.

Also I've tried YT-DLP and at the moment I can only get 720P downloads out of it.

running yt-dlp --list-formats and some sample URLs gives me 720P as max resolution available.

but get_iplayer saves 1080P @ 50FPS. 

So no signs of any UHD content on iplayer via a PC so far....

With 1Gb broadband it's about 3 minutes to download and encode each set. iplayer seems to max out at 680Mb/s throughput for some reason on my setup.

I'll revisit the list if there are any significant changes on the Glastonbury listings page. 

Most are on 28 days time limit

Geo-locked to the UK so VPN probably needed, I don't have enough space on my Mega account to upload more than 2-3 sets unless I re-encode to H256 with handbrake which would roughly halve the file size but loose some quality.

Also I've tried YT-DLP and at the moment I can only get 720P downloads out of it.

running yt-dlp --list-formats and some sample URLs gives me 720P as max resolution available.

but get_iplayer saves 1080P @ 50FPS. 

So no signs of any UHD content on iplayer via a PC so far....

 

right its time i sort this before they vanish - can someone remind me what the command for get_iplayer is again?

I know it's down to licensing but it sucks the majority of these are just going to vanish forever once the 30 days are up. This is my first year making sure I download all of the sets I'm interested in.

Three obvious things wrong there -

First, it needs to be get_iplayer rather than get-iplayer

Second, you need spaces between instructions - so put a space before --pid and another before --tv-quality

Third, in the quality, change 1080 to 1080p as it won't recognise it otherwise.

Change all of those and I think it'll work. Like this - 

get_iplayer --pid=m0018sfr --tv-quality="1080p"

Thanks to all those putting in effort on this thread. Unfortunately I only have a work computer so can't employ the tactics listed above. If anyone has downloaded a bunch of sets and has them in a Google Drive or similar (Ie links can be shared), I'd gladly swap the opportunity to download some sets for a couple of crates or beer/cider (well send equivalent monies!) A bonus crate for access the previous years, regrettably some of my favourite sets have left YouTube. Feel free to PM me - Thanks 🙂

Gutted that the sets will start disappearing this weekend - I've really enjoyed watching some of them 2 or 3 times, even though I wasn't there at the festival. ☹️

Why can't the BBC sort out this ridiculous situation where the i-player automatically deletes stuff after 28 days?

Some have already gone - just been to try and download the IDLES and Wet Leg sets and they aren't there.

      This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
