BambooShanks
Wednesday morning: Possibility of slight showers. Temps around 15 degrees. After that, the SW avoids any bands of rain currently forecast. Highest temps is on the sunday: I'm very cautious at this point. While things look ok for now, there's a lot of low pressure moving wednesday through to Friday which could bring more unsettled weather. faymondo
I can't really look at anything yet for the festival as this weekend is still up for grabs and lots of uncertainty. Once this weekend is out of the way we will have a better picture. A possibility some areas this weekend could get 100mm plus on the doomsday rain scenario. Its a complex picture though. briddj
Let's go with the full review of the 06Z! WEEKEND It's back to bad news Sunday, with loads of heavy rain around the site area all day. The rain stops in the early hours of Sunday, and it's then dry and warm to gates opening. High pressure around but the low is starting to push down. WEDNESDAY - GATES OPEN There is rain around now, and the temperatures are really poor at 11 degrees. Looks like the low is winning on this run. First days of the festival. WEDNESDAY No real rain around during the day but JUST 13 DEGREES. The low pressure is starting to take hold on the UK. THURSDAY A dry day, temperatures recovering to 17. The low pressure is still dangerously close for disaster. FRIDAY Dry again, but very chilly at 15. Now the high pressure is fighting back! About time! SATURDAY Dry, temps recovering to 19. High pressure now very much in command. SUNDAY Another lovely day. No rain, 21 degrees. High pressure still in command. SUMMARY Not a great run at all, with lots of rain this weekend and not great drying conditions through to Wednesday, which has showers. The Wednesday and Thursday are very cold. That will please the crazy people. But it's TOO EARLY. What this does perfectly show us is the thread of the area of low pressure, and how it is totally determining our fate. It's going to be a roller-coaster.
