First night is always a little crowded because there's nowhere for anyone to go, plus the locals can come along too. And Phoenix are quite a popular band for that slot. I remember seeing a big crowd at Wolf Parade one year! I wouldn't worry - when the full site is open, people will disperse better and you can move around in search of toilets etc if queues are bad in one area. The main arena will be busy for the biggest acts, that's to be expected. If it isn't your vibe (it usually isn't mine!), then there's plenty more to see around the edges anyway. Have fun! -
I didn’t realise the bbc did that much stuff… it’s going to take a lot of catching up with after the festival.. I’d quite like to hear a lot of the wandering round site / interviews stuff.

Good morning, We have been going to Glastonbury every year since 2005 but had an enforced year of last year when we couldn’t get tickets. I wanted to ask how much a pint of cider was at the Brothers Bar last year. Also am I right thinking that the bigger meals were around about £12 a pop? -
