Crikey. I hope they get replace them with someone good (otherwise Chems will be totally rammo) but not too good (as I will be at Chems).

Could be clutching here but surely Idles are the most likely candidates?

Or Everything Everything, I thought

They played the same slot last time so not sure if they'd do it again

Also will the 48 hour validity apply for the acts too? Hopefully that would mean after tomorrow the lineup stays relatively unaffected should the remaining acts test negative?

Not convinced that enters into it too much given the circs, and something better than nothing [nothing 🙄, etc.]. They’re doing Standon Calling tomorrow, but who knows!

Just in case people haven't spotted it.  Seems that if you use a barclaycard to pay at the main bars or for some food, you get 10% off.  Sounds like a pretty decent saving, so I've just dug mine out!

https://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/event-perks-terms

might always have been like this, I've just never noticed it, it popped up on my facebook this morning

well spotted but I did note

## Purchase from a bar outlet where Barclaycard credit card payment is accepted and offer signage is present and Advise the cashier that you are a Barclaycard credit card customer, present your card at till and pay with your personal Barclaycard(s) or Barclaycard Business card (MasterCard) ##

------------

as far as I am aware they are using many Agency bar staff so they may not be aware about this so its best to store that link on your phone.

it will be interesting to find out if people were able to get the discount without hassle

Tent planted - absolute ectastic. Sports Team is a great replacement for Alfie Templeman! Interested to see what will happen with Fontaines but almost definitely will be at Chems unless someone insane is announced

Folly Group sound alright on a first listen - jagged post-punk

That's s real shame. They are dropping like flies, which is worrying for the fest and season.

I actually saw Folly Group support PVA a couple if weeks ago and they'll doj ust fine.

First live music since November 2019. Got quite emotional at times. Didn't think the New York Brass Band don't Take on Me would be the one that got me but not gonna lie I shed a few tears at the exuberant communal silliness of it

Think they came wandering through the campervan field this afternoon. Definitely seems like there's a more communal feel than previous years I've been.

Bouncer on the door said it was last night. Just seen other people saying they do accept card? I think as the signals bad it might be slower. Or the bouncers got a deal with the bloke who owns the cashpoint next door.

Some places use Latitude’s Wifi for their payment machines and it had an issue, I hear. For example, co-op was cash only for a time last night. Other places not using Wifi were fine so only taking card payments.

    • People seem to have got obsessed about 'secret sets' at all festivals this year even when there aren't any spaces other than, in EOTR's case, the usual late Folly sets that 90%+ of the time are from artists who are already playing.
    • To be fair @Superscally barely mentions the running thing. Very quiet about it 😘
    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
