Polling shows that if the government did cancel Christmas relaxations there would be a drop in people mixing households. So the narrative that people wouldn't follow the rules doesn't appear to be one that is true. If nearly 2/3rds of people would not mix households then it's more reason to cancel this relaxation.

gonna be not a fun week 😞  ..... found out the numbers allowed in the shop today ..... 1500 !!!!!

What's that mean in relation to capacity? Doesn't sound like a good thing mate.

Nearly 60% of those who plan to mix households are going to do it anyway....

well in the last lockdown when I went back the limit was 330 .... and next week those people will be mostly shopping the fresh food areas of the shop ... presume its decided on square footage ....  but we have a massive non food and clothing area ... which is not what people tend to shop xmas week ....

No way this spineless bunch of cretins are reversing out of it now. Most likely they'll offer is an immediate lockdown, maybe as early as 28/12? And I could see that going into February

Apologies @Ozanne, looks like I was wrong. They've gone from a spineless bunch of cretins to an incompetent bunch of spineless cretins

Wrong

You wot?

Health Secretary Matt Hancock revealed on Monday that the new variant of coronavirus had been recorded in at least 60 different local authority areas.

These cases were found predominantly in Kent, but it has now been confirmed that they have spread as far as Glasgow.

    • Spring (or early) next year now.   Says to me that the album is/was delayed. I've done some digging but not had anything beyond that.
    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
