Through a series of fortunate events, I've managed to become an unnofficial Strokes photographer at their shows (landed Belfast / Roundhouse / L'Olympia / couldn't make the Berlin one) - Albert used my picture on his instagram yesterday

Anyway - through chatting to my sources don't think Glasto is happening this year...but they do want to headline it one day..Or they are double bluffing me

Was always a pipedream they'd do anything less that headline the Pyramid.

UK ruled out then completely for more shows this year? Or festivals anyway

I haven't heard anything UK related but that doesn't mean no...I didn't want to push my luck on info...

Don't suppose you know anything on a tour following the album? (not festivals/summer gigs)

Surely they have to tour this album. I'm pinning my hopes on an Autumn/Winter tour

The fact that they played tiny UK shows points to some O2 gigs or some such around August / September

Fans hoping for a return to their old sound might be disappointed, but I quite like this. It's got a chorus, that's for sure. First third of this album is sounding promising, even if At the Door wasn't the best song to kick things off with.

Loved all the songs so far, buzzin' for the new album. That latest one is really surprisingly fun, sounds like something off Francis Trouble.

This new one isn't half bad either. Can't wait for this thing to drop this friday.

They have had enough chances already to play in their career so they should have struck whilst the iron was hot so to speak.
