  1. I had exactly the same problem with them for The Warehouse Project, I never got a print option. It was resolved at the ticket office on the night of the gig, you shouldn't have any more trouble now. They will henceforth be known as Ticketbastard for all their unnecessary hassle. I got my Latitude ticket from UEA Students Union this time. A much better experience and cheaper postage if they were being mailed. Time to start packing! 😎
  2. Excavate!: The Wonderful and Frightening World of The Fall - Tessa Norton & Bob Stanley Book of the year for me!
  3. It takes an hour and if you just miss one it's another hour to wait for the next one. Timetable and booking here This will be my 6th Latitude, my last one was in 2015. I'm going by the Halesworth route this time, arriving Thursday night. My main concern is going back on Monday morning. They don't have any shuttles listed and I'm wondering how busy the taxi rank gets. My train tickets are only valid for specific trains.
  4. This was an excellent tribute, it had me turning the volume up from the start. I'll play this a few times over the next 4 weeks.
  5. I had a couple of good gigs last week. Joe Gideon, Jim Sclavunos & Gris-De-Lin + Henry Parker at the Brudenell. They decided to make it a free gig so tickets were refunded, I spent it on merch. I also saw mclusky + Bilge Pump at Huddersfield Parish. Coming up: March 5th, Sex Pistols: The End is Near - Kevin Cummins in conversation with John Robb at Manchester International Anthony Burgess Foundation. I was at the Huddersfield Ivanhoes gig and I remember KC with his camera. 6th Altered Images at Holmfirth Picturedrome 11th Sink Ya Teeth at Leeds Headrow House 21st The Jesus and Mary Chain at Manchester Albert Hall
  6. I thought I'd got this wrong after I'd signed off. It had me digging out my PTV albums. The looped Jones sample kicks off side 2 of Themes 2 recorded in 1984. Back on the tv topic, tonight's viewing: Homeland Monday is telly night. Westworld, The Walking Dead, Inside No 9, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver.
  7. On the Psychic TV 'Themes' 1982 album it starts with a looped sound of what I took to be some kind of jungle animal. Years later I discovered it's the weird high pitched chuckle of Jim Jones. I've seen the BBC and other documentaries about him. A real horror story about what people can get away with under the guise of religion.
  8. There's been a disappointing lack of news from FN6. I hoped they would have something to announce for this year or next but hopefully not a change of location. Portmeirion is fantastic and worth the transport hassle.
  9. I spoke to them in Leeds a couple of weeks ago. They said no Glastonbury this year but hoping for next. The best new band I've seen for years is Ist Ist. They would be great for Williams Green or John Peel. Their debut album ‘Architecture’ is out on 1st May. I'm hoping for Girl Band on the Peel stage too.

    The Strokes?

It's good but obviously Billy Idol gets a writing credit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG1NrQYXjLU
