Matt42
Think it’s a good time to start this thread. ‘Bigger than usual because it’s the 50th’ deserves its own thread. Foals, Royal Blood, Biffy Clyro surely in la mix? Edited October 31, 2019 by Matt42
henry bear
Emily said they were all 'Pyramid-size' bands. Don't think Royal Blood are quite there yet. Ditto Biffy.
Matt42
Does this perhaps give a bit of spice to the Metallica rumours?
jparx
Metallica totally would do it. Dunno if they will, but they would. Foals are nailed on I think. Royal Blood are a stretch to call Pyramid headliners. Biffy could squeeze in.
thrillhouse188
Foals and The 1975 as two of them?
Gilgamesh69
Foals, Nick Cave, Lana Del Rey please

wro_lap
Think Biffy aren’t an unreasonable shout. She’s likely being lenient when she says they’re all Pyramid size - with people recently chucking their name into the headliner hat I think she can say that. It’s more their overall festival billing (I.e. taking a sub slot in 2017) which makes them a non-headliner rather than the outright amount of people who like them. Ditto Biffy. none of us agree what a 'Pyramid-size' band is so that's no use ahah. Call me crazy but I want King Gizzard on there.
Kalopsia
I feel like The Strokes could fit into this category? Depending on the money side of things of course...
Rubber Soldier
Foals, Biffy and The 1975 nailed on I think. What a horrific trio.
Mezhyp1
Lana Del Rey the first that popped to my head, she'd pull a massive crowd up against some old duffer like McCartney
Dronx
Foals Pet Shop Boys Biffy Clyro

kingcrawler
I really don’t see Nick Cave playing festivals next year and I don’t think The 1975 would accept anything less than the Pyramid. I could see Foals being one of these acts with them being the act to be bumped up if the third headliner falls through.
Hugh Jass
Aerosmith. Calling it now.
LGH
Foals PSB Mark Ronson I think the line about loads of guests means a Mark Ronson set could turn out to be massive!

squirrelarmy
Prodigy, Foals, 1975. Keeps the Pyramid free for big headliners.
Crazyfool01
pet shop boys cant be any bigger than usual because they've already headlined the other .. so in essence must be the same size .....
matichin
Nick Cave would be great, but really don't think Ghosteen is a festival set type of album, and would be weird if they played their normal setlist of Stagger Lee, Red Right Hand etc without touching their current album. However surely they are at Headliner status now after arena tours. Edited October 31, 2019 by matichin
