If Glastonbury does go ahead, headlining the Other stage will be Pet Shop Boys, Dua Lipa and Fatboy Slim, though their respective days have not been announced.

Expected much better after the comments, that’s pretty poor in my opinion. 🤒

Worse than most years I'd say.

Fat boy should be no way near headlining a stage. I can only think its a nod to his many years of service. They know he'll pull a crowd and he'll likely be free.

Thinking about this a bit more, if he's the Sunday I can see this being a Fatboy Slim + Special Guests. Would explain the Calvin Harris rumours, Chems would likely be there, few other big DJs or vocalists. Can see this being one of the 'big surprises'

Dua Lipa will smash it but weak overall headliners.

Good for me though since I’ll be at the Pyramid.

I just don't see Dua on Other.

Gutted if Dua does end up topping this, but aye, great year to not be too arsed over the OS headliners.

Yeah it's not a strong headliner set for me. Other is usually not my cup anyway but Fatboy Slim is a great decision to put there and I'd probably go, I'm expecting Friday for him.

FBS is such a weird booking for OS that I can only assume that something like this is true. Does he have form for guests at some of his bigger gigs? I saw his headline slot in 2010, but that was on Dance East, which actually made sense.

I was wondering if it was a situation you see at other festivals where a dance act plays after a decent sized band. IOW and Latitude have done it in recent years.

It wouldn’t exactly set the pulses racing but something like Snow Patrol with Fatboy straight afterwards would fit.

didn't he headline Other once before? I've got a memory of sparkly-effect-glasses being handed out as part of it.

    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
    • Temperature was the main issue - luke warm at best
