    Pyramid Subs 2024

For all the SZA size talk, LCD as a sub-headliner is a legitimately crazy booking in my eyes. Hope it’s backed up with something strong like Dave as one of the others, but f**king hell we’re gonna need a few churnups.
  2. Taylor and Rihanna two of the main contenders I guess. Unless Raye/Little Simz are getting a SZA-level bump.
  3. Appreciate it! The guitarist told me they weren't playing a month back but that could easily have been a "please buy tickets to our Crystal Palace" show instead kind of response so hopefully this is more accurate!

    England at Glasto

Not sure why it “definitely shouldn’t”, let people do what they want Will be a 5pm kick-off on the Sunday, should we win the group
  5. Looking at the positive that I don't have to be at MSW before Blink play so I can secure a good space.
  6. f**k sake please don't put Gerry on the Blink day, I'll begrudgingly take Catfish
  7. Annoying they haven't confirmed yet, but going to guess - Friday: LG/Gerry Saturday: Fred/Catfish Sunday: blink/Lana
  8. Good announcement for R&L that outside of Gerry.
  9. Need to see the day splits, a few options with blink I'd like there
  10. My guess would be that his first festival was R&L 2012, where they played.

    2024 Headliners

Absolutely horrendous both times I saw him at R&L. The first time even more so when I was surrounded by people who couldn't be any more excited for him who all left gutted at the performance.
  12. Vampire Weekend would be wonderful, haven't seen them in about 15 years now. Maybe opening the Other? Wouldn't be surprised to see them headline an indie day at APE, or Community etc though.

    2024 Headliners

I feel like a traitor to this forum for saying it, but as (probably the smallest minority possible) I've not actually seen them before, I'd be quite excited for Coldplay. Not a huge fan of their music but it seems like they do put on a show, and they have a good amount of classics. Sorry everyone.
  14. Mistakes I made as a first time goer, which I'll rectify going into my 2nd year - 1. Footwear - I wore some beaten up trainers that I didn't mind losing, and completely underestimated the amount of walking on tough ground you'll end up doing. I walked 21km on the first day, and that doesn't include 2 hours at night where I was wandering around trying to find my lost phone, which a lovely gentleman had charged up for me to collect the next day. 2. Powerbank - I took one, which I believe was 10000mAh, which died on the Saturday evening. I then spent the next day being that annoying friend using everybody elses, so I'd recommend a 20000mAh one if you're quite frequent on your phone. 3. Sleeping bag - I accidentally bought a kids sleeping bag that only went up to my waist, which I decided to go ahead with anyway as I thought it'd be funny... it wasn't. I was freezing cold on the first night of a day that I believe had reached about 36 degrees. I ended up buying a duvet at a shop on site, which isn't a bad move if you don't want to bring a sleeping bag and are happy to donate it at the end. Saves a little bit of valuable space. 4. Clothes - Rookie move for somebody who'd been to so many festivals but I thought 5 days = 5 pairs of socks. I'd probably double that next year. I also didn't bring a hoodie so ended up having to buy one in merch for about £50. 5. Alcohol/mixer - We brought as much as we could physically carry, but the main mistake here was we all brought about 6l of soft drink for spirit mixers. There is a co-op on site where you can buy multi-packs of Coke cans etc, so if you're trying to keep light I'd suggest just bringing however much spirits you'd like, and buying the mixer on site. We also brought in a couple of crates of beer each, but I think next year I'll just buy pints at the bars, as the taste of having a cold one made the price worthwhile in my opinion. Maybe bring a crate for the campsite. Hope that helps somebody!
  15. I'm in! Coach travel from just down the road as well, dream scenario. Couldn't be happier.
  16. 3 years of trying and I've still never seen it, a true myth! Thankfully somebody from our group got through this time. Hope the best for everyone else.
  17. The only time we were successful is where 5 of us sat in our houses refreshing between 3-4 devices each and the one person who wasn't as interested managed to get through on their phone sat in the parking lot of their gym.
  18. Pretty poor form with such short notice. It feels like people had plenty of time to check their details, unless I didn't hear about some issue out of their control.
  19. Definitely worried now it's suddenly closer. Missing out last year was brutal but at least we preoccupied ourselves well with Rock Werchter. Desperate to get back though.
  20. Confirmed quicker than expected! Hope for a nice undercard but honestly not too fussed either way. May even do a rogue Leeds Saturday/Reading Sunday (provided those are actually the dates).
  21. Apparently blink’s cancelled shows in Scotland/Ireland are being rescheduled for August 2024, so that’s one headliner that we were already pretty sure about which we can basically confirm. That’ll be a day ticket for me.
  22. Of when I started going (2012-), I always thought 2013 and 2014 aged quite well. Both had about 9/10 acts on the lineup who have headlined R&L.
  23. Blink headlining and the return of the NME Stage would be enough to get me back for a day next year. Fingers crossed.
