For now.

Pretty much.

i mean this shows that the apparent iron clad consumer laws for tickets are being slowly but surely eroded via loopholes and such. You want to get upset about an early entry package, vip and all that? Well, thats the artist and their management making those choices on how to generate more income.

I'm aware this has been the case in the US for a while, what with John Oliver's show doing a big piece on Ticketmaster or with my experience of finding nothing for Muse at Madison Square Garden in NYC in April for less than $160 when I was briefly thinking of going on a trip there and the dates happened to coincide (even if New York has a reputation as being one of America's most expensive places to do anything). But there's also the nature of going "Well, if these tickets are going for crazy money on second hand sites, why don't we try to match the market?" plus obviously inflation in venue hire/staffing/energy and the lack of income for 20/21.

There's a lot of factors I guess. I can still find it a bummer though.

twickets is going to be excellent. almost bought for FV too!

I'm more used to Twickets being a place for stadium or park shows than arenas, given I got Pulp, Muse and AM tickets through that route but not for Paramore.

Or at least that's what I'm hoping for as my way in for seeing Foo Fighters.

Christ, I love them but 6 O2s seems a bit much. Especially considering I don't think anyone else has really listened to the last couple of albums. Will def try for a couple on Twickets

Putting it as a Greatest Hits tour is pretty genius, as if it'll be any different to the previous shows which were pretty much that anyway

6 nights at the o2 is 2 stadium nights, just spread over 6 days

Paramore did 40k iirc?

Who is buying all these Killers tickets???

I suspect that quite a few are bought by touts hoping to sell them on at a profit? I also suspect that they might lose out. Hopefully.

Probably - don't think anyone expected it to get up to 6 dates!

Not even close, it seems. Editors are playing in tents nowadays.

The Killers are actually an undisputed headliner worldwide though - unlike Editors who can't sell 5k in London these days!

Paramore did 40k iirc?

They did 2 nights, which is about 16-20k per night depending on how many get in through Greenwich's doors. If 4 nights is about the same as one at Wembley, then 6 is absolutely a big run.

quote from Brandon flowers.....

Maybe you could pop up at Glastonbury again?

“Yeah, sure!”

....Makes it seem like it isn't out of the question.

Was just gonna post that.

Seems like there's a lot going on independent of any Glasto visit tbf, with confirmation of small venue shows to mark Hot Fuss' 20 years anniversary and that Brandon is planning to release a solo album in 2025.

    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
