Foals

Sorted tickets for the 21st at Ally Pally, with the option of passing it up if they're announced on the farm (however unlikely).

I think they'll add the Saturday (22nd) as a screenshot earlier on this thread had the 22nd as the date. That'd be preferable, but at least have these in the bag.

Fair play, I must have mis-read the general opinon of Foals on here.

Been a huge fan since the first album myself, and seen them many times (including in a pub in Doncaster!).

That said, I was a little disappointed by What Went Down. Felt the best three songs had all been released before the album came out itself (What Went Down, Mountain At My Gates, A Knife In The Ocean) and the rest of the tracks didn't live up that level (never a huge fan of Snake Oil).

Thats fine because Nightswimmers is an absolute tune.

I was very tempted with the 21st tickets. I'm flying back from hols on the Thurs though and thought I'd be too knackered. Saturday I'd def be up for. Unless they're on the farm..... Funds are a bit tight at the moment.

Argh why am I not rich.

Saturday 22nd has just been added, FYI.

I also bagged tickets to this! Looks a tiny little place haha

It is, seen a few gigs there and all good. It the sort of place where the band can only just fit their kit on the stage!

Foals confirmed to headline boardmasters and truck.

got to be in for a massive shout for Other headliner now

Taking this as a sign that Foal and the lads will never make it as Pyramid headliner after the dizzying heights of their sub slot in 2016.

They probably will eventually but it does seem they've plateaued at the moment.

The Chief Foal promised bangers later this year, he needs to deliver.

Yes think it all depends on how well this double album is received.

I like Exits, its very Foalsy... hoping there's a few bangers like "one step two step", "Inhaler & "what went down"

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
