You predicted Macca would be announced on Lauren's show the other day - did you know Emily was on with Lauren or was that just wishful thinking? You could be quite the prognosticator ?

Seeing as the R6 audience is 40 year old men in cords, I reckon we're getting The Cure or Kraftwerk or something.

An outrage! I am merely 38 and only wear cords every other day, so there. Enjoying a non-shouty breakfast show so far though!

Me and Macca go way back. Met him on the Mull on Kintyre.

Nah, as CalGon says above my guess was based on Lauren's pics on social media over the festive period. Does seem to have extra significance though with Emily turning up this morning.

Nice to have Lauren in the morning, shame Keaveney has moved to stank up the afternoons rather than being shuffled off out of the way to the weekend or something.

Do toads like frogs? Is there a kinda 'hey we're pretty similar, lets get along' or is it more of a rivalry thing with toads being bigger?

There's a deep seated hatred to be honest, but for the sake of shit posting, i'll make an exception.

Don't be so cordist...! And please don't say that you weren't and that you have friends who wear cords. Because that, unlike my corduroy trousers, won't wash...!

    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
