Anyone ever bought restricted view tickets at Nottingham Arena in block 17?

Got some for Fender next weekend and a bit nervous after seeing the big screens and light rigs he had on his previous arena gigs as the tickets are side of stage. They’re no cheaper then the non restricted too. Bit of a mare that’s probably making me more anxious then I need to be.

Hopefully someone on here can help me with this.

Think I’m gonna try to buy lucky dip tickets for The Stones at Anfield for me and my dad cos they were like half the price of the cheapest seats on the last tour. Only thing is I don’t think he’d want to stand, if that’s what we ended up with.

I know (or think) that for most stadium shows, standing tickets also include unreserved seating. Is this also the case if you get golden circle/front pit tickets?

When I saw them in Southampton in 2018 I bought lucky dip tickets and ended up with the front No Filter Pit tickets, and to get into that section we went into the general standing bit and then through another barrier to get into the front pit. So I’m assuming, if I wanted to, I could’ve just stayed in the general standing bit and gone into unreserved seating if I’d wanted to?

Hopefully this makes sense!

It will depend on how security is. Youll be able to see the seating chart before the onsale even happens so you can see what is what anyway. Last year at the LA gigs security was so shite that you couldve snuck down all the way to the front pit with your lucky dip wristband. Since they wristbanded anyone who had bought those when they entered. You couldve had upper levels and it didnt matter.

Niche question of the century.

New tunes too! 😮

At least if they’re prepping an album they should be back over here touring reasonably soon.

Gutted to be missing this, been waiting years for YYY’s to come back.

Christ alive my bank balance is getting hammered by gig tickets this month, £48.70 for a YYYs Brixton ticket.

Yeah £48 is more than I expected for a YYYs ticket. But I'd have almost definitely been at their Glastonbury set had they been there.

Wouldn't be any further down though than Other stage 3rd or JP headliner. I've also read whether it's common knowledge or not that Fatboy Slim is down for JP this year too aftet previously being being for Other stage.

He said himself that he’s going Silver Hayes in the Friday then a few other sets (as usual) over the weekend.

That’s not unreasonable.

Aye not unreasonable, maybe a touch higher than I'd expect for a YYYs ticket but still getable. More a comment on the fact I've already splurged a few quid on tickets for The Smile/LCD Soundsystem/Phoebe Bridgers in the past couple of weeks!

    • Elastica posted last night teasing a return, wonder where they would play if they reformed?
    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
