Portishead are playing a Ukraine benefit in Bristol for warchild, their first show for seven years. Google for details

Wouldn't mind seeing Portishead at Glasto again. That Other stage gig with David Cameron's laser eyes was amazing.

Not music, but still a tour: Chris Rock 241 in 2 weeks. Think I'll go for £20 a pop.

Anyone with experiences of the phone locking up system? And will they believe me if we had no phones on us, given we live 5 minutes from the arena, so it wouldn't really matter?

I've done it - but then I didn't really see any reason for trying to dodge it.

What I'm asking is does it take a long time to get your phone locked up and retrieved later on? I'd leave my phone at home if it meant avoiding an additional tedious queue.

I saw him in a 10k venue and it only took a few mins either side.

If I was in Brum that weekend I'd be all over that.

Having to give tickets away at half price? That's a slap in the face

Jun 12: Belfast Ormeau Park, UK
Jun 16: Glasgow Hampden Park, UK
Jun 21: London Wembley Stadium, UK

They have a few days free in between London and Paris which just so happens to be the same time as Glasto. Not gonna happen but I would love to see the reaction of them being announced as a mainstage headliner at Glasto!

That would be a mega booking. Would love to see it.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
