I am unreasonably disappointed that there will be no Thursday night Al Doyle DJ set this year!

That was the thing I set my mind on in March 2020, get to that Thursday night and remember how you felt when everything got cancelled.

But you should never try to recreate previous experiences at Glastonbury anyway, hey?

He’s said the reason he’s not at Glasto is they’re playing elsewhere that weekend. Could be like Paris or Berlin or something but I suspect it’s another UK city before the London dates.

Could be yeah, europe would make sense. Dont see them doing uk dates on glasto weekend myself but could be wrong.

when do you all think he will slot his UK stadium shows in? presumably before these dates if he wants a stadium before the next sporting calendar kicks off

Says "first leg" in the poster which suggests there won't be any more ahead of these dates, besides all our stadia are pretty much booked out for the summer now.

An arena run later in the year and some stadia next year would look more likely.

Specifically all stadiums for this tour due to the production. So he wont be in europe til next year.

the LCD Soundsystem ticket prices are, at the very least, odd. Wed 29 June and Sun 3rd July work out at £55.42 with fees included, the other two are £68.98. so unless they're planning on being slightly worse on two dates, I'm not too sure why

I guess it's because Friday and Saturday tickets are going to be the prime ones so this incentivises people to cop the ones that would normally be less likely to sell as quick?

Friday/Saturday might go on later because of licenses too.

    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
