Looks to me like a gap with intent to return to Glastonbury later on, can see her playing 3rd Pyramid with them grabbing another more poppy option of the likes of Katy or Miley. Lana is a pop act obviously but she can bit a bit marmite

What makes you say that? I can't see how those dates relate to Glastonbury in any way tbh. It doesn't change anything at all. Also, if they're after a big pop star with the radio and chart hits then Lana isn't the answer - I expect that to be Dua Lipa or someone similar. You could argue it's pop but it's more indie pop (several other terms could be used), not Miley and Katy's brand of pop. Sub for Lana if she plays, I reckon.

Because it's a long enough gap to return to Europe later on. Hence I said I think they'll get another option too, fully expect Dua Lipa to be there.

      I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer

      That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.

      Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
