Train gets into CC about 1330, so onsite at what, 3pm? Bit confused, 'cos we've been earlier in the past, and managed to camp in Kidney Mead. Guess it'll all be full this year by the time we get in. Might see if we can squeeze in Big Ground or similar.

Staying at Greenacres campsite on Tuesday so probably leave there about 6-6.30am to get on site not long after (as road come out of literally opposite bronze gate) - not sure how long it will take to get through gates but will set up tent and chill for a bit, before doing round two to the car....then it will be beer, put stuff in lock ups and then bimble about

Get the coach from Norwich at 7am, should arrive 3pm.

No idea if we'll arrive in the worst of traffic or after it. Find somewhere to camp and have an explore

Hi evannn. See or NE? If it's the latter, see you there :)

Leaving swansea pretty early (but not silly) and expected to be doing the dreaded trudge up the hill to CV West with our 2 sack trolleys full of bungee roped stuff by midday. Then when we meet the 2 other couples up there (one with camper van and the other with a tent like us), I'll be handed a Stella while we catch up before I do the tent.  General bimble, drink and food before chilling on the hill and eventually see the fireworks.

No doubt we'll discuss how it's better before the bands and the subsequent stresses and chaos begins!

I'm hoping to get pitched in Darble and then, as is the tradition - open a beer and look at the programme.  Meet and chat to my neighbours then bimble happily around the site, go to the efests meet and see where the evening takes me after that.

I'm not sure. First time not on a coach but I'm super excited about getting there early doors for the first time and seeing the place fill up. :D

Oh and an early bimble then head to efests meet.

Will get the train around 8am from Southampton. When I do this I usually get onsite around 11.30 after a couple of smallish queues at Castle Cary and at the gates. Would normally then go straight to Bushy Ground but staying with friends at the back of Oxylers this year. Getting close now isn't it...

Hopefully arrive in the car 1-2 (no traffic nightmare this year obvs), tent up and a celebratory beer and then bimble round to check out the site changes etc. Caught the fireworks by accident last year so may do the same, rest of the evening likely to be a pub crawl enjoying the beautiful weat:Dher

Not 100% sure yet... It's one of two options...

Leaving Liverpool around 2/3am getting to car park around 7am hopefully.

Or...

Leaving Liverpool at around 7am to avoid lengthy queuing (hopefully).

Although due to our tent size I think the first option would be my preferred one. My mates want to camp in Park Home, then after setting up, grabbing some food and a few hours snooze - I should be set up to explore the site and catch the fireworks at nightfall.

Try not to wake up too early with excitement. Nice big breakfast to set us up for the day then a 5 minute womble to the gate. Straight in at 9am (unless like last year where we had to queue for 10 minutes - bloody disgrace). Wander to see the new stuff then up the hill to sit with a beer and a programme, to watch the fields fill up and plan the next few wonderful days.

Depends on the traffic. If it's just normal traffic and no snarl ups then I hope the coach will arrive at sometime between 12 and 1 which hopefully gives me a shot at hawkwell or michael's mead. If not then Darble. There will be the ceremonial set up beverage then a bimble followed by the efests meet if I pluck up the courage to go.

Midnight coach from Liverpool due to get in about half 5 on Wednesday morn. Never got to Gate A before 8 before so no idea what to expect.

Tents up in Darble then probs get some breakfast to help the first cider go down nicely. Family coming along as first timers so will spend the day exploring with them then the plan is to watch fireworks but that's only ever happened watching from the tent til now so we'll see

Where/when are the fireworks?

After it gets dark, set up at the stone circle and a couple of other locations last year (to prevent overcrowding that recent years have seen).  You can see them from all over the site, so no need to tramp all the way to the south of the site just to be rammed in crowds before trudging away after.  Last year we watched them from Darble.

First time in some years I'll be arriving after gates open, probably late morning/early afternoon if all goes to plan.

Wednesday evening, we were getting some food over by West Holts, sitting on the benches at the back looking in the direction of the Green Fields when we saw them

Gonna arrive on site at 11,when I'm set of I'll say hi to everyone in camp. Then I'll go off on a wander with whoever wants to join or I'll just go solo. Then I'll hit the brothers bar for a pint or four, then I'll have a wander about the green fields.

At around 7pm I'll turn up late to the efests meet and chat to some folk from here. Might make arrangements to meet up with people later on, we'll see how it goes. Then I'll say my goodbyes, watch the fireworks, have a load of cocktails from Fluffy Rock then end my evening in the Mandala Tent.

Will be on site from Sunday as Mrs works in healing field, so I'm planning on Tuesday being an all nighter through to wed then up to the stone circle for sunrise and celebrate summer solstice. If dry I'll stay up there and watch the site fill up before going for a nap then waking up to a full festival site and the madness can begin.

Trying hard to sleep despite being like a kid on Christmas Eve, then catching a taxi at about 4am from where I'll be staying in Frome to the drop off centre. Shuttle to the site then queueing up at PGA from around 5-ish. Once in, a hike to Pennards (probably), up with the black'n'fresh then cracking open a Scrumpy Jack whilst watching everything unfold and getting to know the new neighbours. Following that, a trip to the lock ups to secure everything valuable then a journey up the hill to the Glasto sign, second Scrumpy and a sit back to take it all in. Absolutely fucking glorious.

Later a little nap in the afternoon then a stroll around the healing fields before ambling along to the eFests meet.

    • So, what would the weather have been like at this year's festival?   It's been shambolic around here, the rain is soul destroying and showing no sign of letting up, bar odd sporadic days here and there. Disgraceful for June.   What's it like down there? Have we had a lucky escape?...

    • belated thanks for this ended up going, was a good evening and a great venue with a cracking beer selection (give the festival a few tips on that). Never been in before despite reasonably local.       Main takeaways from the film (as someone who didnt go for much later). The festival has changes a lot since then apart from the Green Fields that looked the exact same.  Me and my mate both agreed that Shambala is today than Glastonbury.   Cool piece of merch aswell.
