Very late to bed as it's Solstice the night before so will have been at Stone Circle. Wake up in Tom's Field to the sound of the 'gates are open' roar. Wander over and plonk myself somewhere up high like the back of the Park and watch the site fill up. Head to Pennard Organic to buy some lunchtime wine, then get merrily tiddled as the day goes on so I'm brave enough to come to the eFests meet.

Leave 8am. Maccies breakfast before the 4 1/2 hour drive. Couple of pit stops. Try to limit beer in take on way down purely for bladder purposes. Get to site (hopefully) 1/2pm. First year we don't have to set up every other buggers tent - so straight into the chairs around the tent, numerous cans, then meet up with friends and see what happens. Usually end up on the hill and onto the fireworks.

On site for the earliest ever this year - absolutely love the idea of watching the site fill up. Anyone know what sorta time the bars open? Would love to hit tricketts up and gaze over the site for a few hours around 11/midday (In the blazing sunshine of course)

Take the coach from Bath at 12:15 so should get on site around 13:30 - 14:00.

Go set up camp then throw a few drinks in my rucksack and go for a bimble ending up at the cider bus. Then go chill on the grass infront on the Pyramid :)

Then ???

I will try but without name badges and avatar t-shirts something will be lost by the face to face thing ;)

Oh and I'm shy unless drunk, and then I'm even less fun!

Now how do you know there won't be name badges?  How do you know that we're not all off our chops and talking bollox?

Sounding better, what time is it again?  Obviously kinda depends on whether Mrs Z wants to come too but fingers crossed :)

Coffee and fry ups in West CV.  Saunter down to Hawkwell to meet up with the rest of the gang and watch them putting their tents up.  Across the Pyramid Field to the Cider Bus where we shall all inadvertently buy three pints for a tenner and look surprised that we now have 21 pints between seven of us.  Drink cider.  Stroll down to West Holts and repeat at Brothers Bar.  Eat Tartiflette because this will DEFINITELY soak up six pints of cider.  Wander up to Stone Circle wondering why legs are no longer working properly.  Stop off at Green Fields for entertainment.  Eventually get to Stone Circle.  Climb on stones.  Fall off.  Wander past tipis to The Park.  Up the hill to the top bar for beers.  Sit and look over site.  Smile happily.  Back down to The Park for beers.  Maybe some food.  Allow rest of day to pass in a blur.

1am: Leave London

3am: Arrive at Glasto

8am: Get crazy excited and head straight to the Big Ground, set up camp and have a celebratory beer or 3

11am: Trudge back to the car to get the majority of our shite

1pm: Celebrate actually being sorted with another beer or 3 and a well deserved nap

4pm: explore but only get as far as the cider bus

4.30pm: Forget my own name

7pm onwards: Hopefully get to the Propaganda take over at Chameleon but that depends on whether my legs work

Aiming to leave 9am, get there about noon. Once set up, it's off to west holts for 2 brothers ciders each, then gargle whatever infusion we've created. Crash out in stone circle, wake up go to the park, talk to loads of people, then down to the bandstand, hunt for mik artistik. Look at the state of ourselves and ask 'could we hold a conversation at the efests meet?'. Drink beer to sober up.

Do this every year.

NE coach from London Victoria at 9, arriving around 2ish (always got See Coaches from O2 before, which means spending 2 1/2 hours just getting through London, so hoping this one will be smoother). Meet mate who's coming from Glasgow at the gate. If he's delayed, I'll go in and pitch our tents ahead of him. Massive 30 min trudge right over to Big Ground, "I don't remember it being this far" etc etc, find a magically empty spot for 2 small tents, pitch up, a few drinks, stumble down the hill to show my mate around (it's his first time), more drinks, fireworks, bar, generally silliness, bed.

I'd forgotten about when the solstices was, I'll see you at stone circle on Tuesday night! :)

Several of you are planning an afternoon nap? I guess this is out of necessity if you've arrived during the night and had no sleep. I admire your self discipline because I am too excited to sleep once I'm there and all set up.

My group insist on queuing overnight, which I'm not a fan. But I go with the flow. So I'll set up camp then crash. Wake up sweating, fanny about and then back to the car for the beer. I'll have a can at the camp and then head to permaculture.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
