Still can't get head around why the foos would come over to play the cheese & grain just to make the announcement, when a FB post would have sufficed!! Maybe there were other bigger things to discuss / agree / rehearse for. Plus the message on Plants site. Plus that airship thing. I'm generally an easy going sort of guy, but this is utter nonsense. Notice a pattern with those ridiculous suggestions? None of them are actually current touring acts! This! Led Zep weren't a touring act in 2007 when they played a blinding, note perfect, one off show at the O2, so your reasoning is the only thing that's ridiculous!

nowyouregideon
That and as far as I know it's been his life goal to headline Glastonbury, there's no way he will turn it down and sub to someone else instead.

People had forgotten how to dream of ridiculous headliners, just let people have this moment of insanity, even though it will inevitably turn out to be Elbow.

No idea who is outselling him but his tour is not exactly massive compared to the rock heavy weights. I was reading a consequence of sound article about the 20 greatest festivals this year and they were looking at Ed as a poor headliner. DownboundTrain52
Haven't checked dates specifically but Elton seems a reasonable shout. You could pop him anywhere in on the Pyramid - or even Other opener - as a "special booking" and he'd tear the house down. I'm going to work on the assumption that Bazza G isn't the legend slot - for some reason - and that our final act is "legend". Tbh, an acoustic solo performance from Bruce Springsteen would go down a treat for me. But there's marginally more chance of REM tbh. Aye he's already started announcing stadiums down under next Spring, doesn't take much imagination to predict that seeing him at Wembley is going to be the most in demand ticket next summer.
