The Twix story being posted should have it's own entry on The Thingy.

That and the boy in the puddle with no legs.

Haha I do always consider it a key part of the festival build up when the Twix story emerges!

To be fair, the Twix story originated on Facebook.

I think the story pre-dates Facebook (kinda). I believe it was posted on Urban75 or a similar site originally, not eFestivals.

That boy still haunts me to this day! If you have a spare four hours it's a good thread to read but no idea how to find it.

I love the twix story. Reading it is part of my festival build up.

Chatting to some guys last year who said they'd considered trying something similar. Instead they were cellophane wrapped inside a box on a trolley (well one of them was).

That sounds horrendous. Claustrophobic even thinking about it!!

So BBC Music says it has signed a new 5 year broadcasting deal and EE says that there is a new 5 year contract in place between GFEL and the Worthy Farm site (with a 17 year contract now in place too between them and one of the key neighbouring farmers)! Great news supporting its longevity. Just noticed NME reiterated that EE said there will be "several 'secret sets' to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Park Stage" as well.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
