Little Mix I don't really understand but they do have some catchy music. Taylor on the other hand is very good at her job and by most accounts decent live. I would hope that most would want to go there and listen to her decent music rather than stare at her for being a good looking woman (there will be some though and i'm sure some even post on here) however the same argument could be had for women purely going to see a male artist just for the pleasure of looking at them i.e 1975, Bastille and Catfish to name a few and that's purely based on what i've seen/heard with an actual quote on Bastille being " i only like 1 song but at least i can stare at Dan on stage for an hour". I know its all at different levels i'm just pointing out it can be the other way around.

Must remember to not find some women beautiful or it may be misconstrued.

Best tell my Mrs to stop fancying the dude from Maroon 5 too. Gross.

Taylor Swift is stunning. Sorry. I quite like her catchy tunes too.

Of course it happens both ways round, and stars trade on their looks too, particularly girl and boy bands. We're all human, fancy who you want. That wasn't really what I was saying though. Just wonder how little mix get a pass and take that don't? Apart from someone just saying GB is a w*nker of course, which doesn't really explain anything musically.

@Stokesy10, fine you find someone stunning - a nicer way of putting it than the references we had to Katy Perry's "bangers" we had last year. Which is a bit more locker roomish, but as I said, not for this thread.

Agreed. Think I jumped the gun with yours and other comments looking back.

Could have seen them at Download for less for a day and not much more for the entire weekend. The reality is if you want to see a band now festivals make far more sense than their own gigs.

Yeah I saw them again at download also, been in to them since I was 6 so no brainer.

Yeah I paid £180 to see Guns n Roses at the London stadium last year, best gig of my life, waited 23 years for the chance so would of happily paid more tbh.

Out of curiosity, as a long term fan did you feel, I dunno, short-changed at all by the absence of Stradlin and Adler (or even Sorum)?

I know it's ridiculous, but I get a bit funny about incomplete lineups!

For big bands definitely.  And this is why I don't mind the (admittedly significant) outlay for Glastonbury, 'cos I'm definitely getting my money's worth!

There's a difference between finding someone attractive - which is natural - and going to watch an artist whose music you don't like just so you can stare at them and fantasise for an hour - which is creepy. If you don't understand the difference that's your problem.

Probably part of the reason Sia covers up and hides in the shadows as she performs. Bit weird, but at least she knows people are there for the music.

Kind of yeah but when Axl and Slash were doing their own thing I wasn't overly bothered and just thought as long as Axl's vocals and slash's riffs were there I'd be game, same thing with Bloc Party when drummer and bassist left I've still continued to see them with Keles vocals and Russell's riffs, the other musicians in both cases cut the mustard in my opinion so I'm happy.

Woah.

You didnt think Matt Tong cut the mustard in Bloc Party?!

He was one of the best drummers in the business.

Hey, you're taking words out of my mouth there, of course he did hence me being a massive fan (I've seen them 7 times) if the newbies didn't cut it I'd just continue listening to the records.

A lot of acts in all reality are only really one or two people and the others are interchangeable . Oasis for example is just the Gallaghers, the other three blokes come through a revolving door.

Apologies, I misinterpreted what you said.

I've not seen BP with the new line up. I think I've seen them live 5 times but would absolutely love to see them doing Silent Alarm.

Holding out hope for an Other Stage slot, early to late evening. Had some great times in the past watching Jamie T and Editors round that time.

    • If anyone spots any new tour posters on site could they share them please? Hoping for ADTR and Electric Callboy tours
    • It completely depends on how that count is done   if it’s individuals entering the arena each day, over the whole weekend, it was at 30% capacity and in no way one of the highest attended festivals in the UK   it was in no way as low as 30% though so that can’t be the measure, so as a number, with no context, “90,000” is meaningless.   Only one category of Leeds ticket seems to have moved on to second tier pricing at this point. I don’t think this is necessarily a sales indicator as much as a method to keep prices up north lower than down south but with this and the anecdotal video evidence, it’s clear Leeds has been nowhere near its capacity (of 90,000/ day) the last 2-3 years
    • £56 - £118 was the price range.   Which for an arena show, dare I say it, felt "okay" in this environment.
    • I’m sure someone said on here months back that they self confirmed at one of their gigs, like late last year
    • Yeah Kurt Vile keeps growing on me more and more. DCFC I found solid enough but relatively forgettable unfortunately.
