Wow, with a straight face as well? What am i missing, i thought he was a rubbish run of the mill r'n'b star.

The most critically acclaimed artist of his generation and a huge commercial force. Why are you using RnB as if it's some sort of put-down?

Begone, troll guy.

Well if it is Muse when we were all expecting Kendrick....

Maybe by "damn" he was referring to the collective reaction when Muse are announced.

Then again for Rock Werchter attendees the only criteria for a good headliner seems to be that it's a rock band. They seem to want Muse to headline, in fact.

Tweet from a promoter and manager. Probably just an educated guess, but maybe he knows...?

He called IOW the best festival in the world and Blossoms' takeover of a non-league ground the most important gig of 2019. Clearly lives in Opposite Land and none of those acts are playing the festival they're named for.

Although to put Macca in he'd probably have to have some inside info or be up to date on forums such as these. Can't think he'd just pull that name out as he's not nailed onto doing any festivals next summer is he? So could be based on some info

Funnily enough I dunno if I'd discount it.

Anyone hooked into the Bobcat network to know if The Dyl is even in Europe next summer?

The Never-Ending Tour doesn’t seem to have dates beyond December. But then, I expect you know that already

He’ll just read rumours like every other bullshitter wanting to sound ITK. No reason a manager of a low-level band would know something like that.

Looking through his tweets etc, he does seem like a guy who doesn't really have a clue

1. Not a hope of Dylan headlining a major festival. Literally not a fucking hope.

2. This lad describes IOW as "the best festival in the world".

As a Dylan fan, I'd agree... but believe it or not, last year he headlined Fuji Rock - 125,000 capacity - alongside Kendrick Lamar and NERD.

Giddings tweeted something about celebrating 50 years since Dylan's '69 IOW set.

Well both him and Emily hinted at it on live radio and I imagine that has been covered on music sites/magazines like the NME.

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
