Nice to have a bit of luck for once I watched the clouds coming from a distance and when they passed by smiled. We also missed rain at other times that was close by - almost as though we were owed one
Zoo Music Girl
Excellent festival weather. Might have even topped 2010 for those nicely overcast mornings allowing a bit of a lay in. Well done to all concerned! Sterling effort this year in the weather thread.
billum
Yeah better than 2010 in my book, perfect all round. Didn't mind the thin clouds, stopped the need to slather on the suncream too much, and the slight showers kept things less dusty and softer underfoot, without risking the ground being unsittable. What a fantastic year, and several brilliant sunsets (Thursday took the prize)
paulshane
it's pouring down down here now, and I don't mind

DownboundTrain52
Aye. Looking out my window at the flash flooding that's starting to happen and thinking many bullets (of rain, snow, hail, whatever) were dodged this year.
paulshane
It's really coming down here now, big solid ran. I'm actually feeling smug about the weather, but at the same time so releived we missed this by a whisker.
scaryclaireyfairy
Wednesday aside (sweet mother of god that was a burny burny sun!), that was indeed the best festival weather I've encountered. I wore my cagoule and wellies today and was not out of place. I smirked.
arcade fireman
It looked like it was about to piss it down for a lot of Friday/Saturday but barely did at all. Edited June 29, 2017 by arcade fireman
gooner1990
I found the Wednesday too much to handle. but apart from that it was perfect festival weather. Warm enough so you didn't have jumpers/jeans on and could just run around in shorts and t-shirts. cool enough so you got a lie-in the mornings and a bit of rain to dust down the site. 9/10 for me! Deaf Nobby Burton
There isn't a single human being of sound mind that if offered 2017 weather for any future Glastonbury would go "nah mate roll the dice please, bit too warm on Wednesday"
mazola
We needed the heat of Wednesday in order to fully appreciate the pleasantness of the rest of the festival

John_P
Probably the best 5 days of festival weather I've ever been lucky enough to enjoy (Leeds Festival 2007 probably 2nd, don't remember any rain that weekend)
Fearless_Fish
Any idea what the temperature peaked at on Wednesday? That was the most insane heat I think I've ever experienced in this country.

mjsell
I've been utterly blessed with the amount of good weather festivals I have been to now. My two Glastos (15,17) were both crackers in my books. And other than Oxegen 2010 I've never been to a washout.

At one point, less than 24 hours out, BBC had wall to wall rain forecast and yr.no had sun and cloud. I <3 Norway. Then my internet crapped out and I sky watched instead. (Anyone else think EE strangled the other networks this year? Worst phone cover since '09 for me.)

Sending a text became a trial on O2. It was sucking battery just trying to connect. That should not be. Edit: In our group of 9, only those on Virgin which uses EE had no issues. Virgin was perfect for the whole weekend with the one exception of just before Justice. Best festival we've ever had for communication. Our whatsapp group was running the whole weekend.
