fair enough although that was the year jake bugg headlined over the pixies so fuck knows what they were thinking that year!! Manics headline arenas and occasionally stadiums/festivals of their own so it feels a bit low in my head! hard to say if they have gotten bigger in three years or not, perhaps not. I see them more as a pyramid act if they were going to be there this year. they're probably bigger today than jake bugg is?

bonobo wont headline the park i don't think, too big for it? more likely west holts.

Cba to post a full one rn but a Friday Pyramid evening of A Tribe Called Quest > Iggy Pop > The xx > Radiohead? Can't have been many in the past that'd beat that, can there?

That's the dream right there. ATCQ would be far better suited to headlining WH (or elsewhere) but for the sake of avoiding clashes, this would be perfect. Ain't gonna happen though, although I think 3 out of those 4 (maybe even in that order) could hopefully be a goer.

Only the top 2 or 3 of the major stages...

Probably a shit prediction:

Fri

Pyramid - Radiohead, The XX, A tribe called Quest, James Bay
Other - Alt J, Imagine Dragons, Liam Gallagher
WH - Jamiraquai, St Germain, Michael Kiwanuka
The Park - Father John Misty, Warpaint, Jagwar Ma.
JP - Justice, Pulled Apart By Horses

Saturday

Pyramid - Foo Fighters, Noel Gallagher, Barry Gibb, Dua Lipa
Other - Pendulum, Iggy Pop, Manic Street Preachers
WH - Bjork, The Specials, Omar Souleyman
The Park - Bonobo, Mac DeMarco,
JP - Interpol, Grizzly Bear, Slaves, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizzard

Sunday

Pyramid - Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga Lorde, Diana Ross
Other -  Green Day, You me at 6, Richard Ashcroft,
WH - The Jacksons, Avalanches, Erasure
The Park - The Maccabees, Moderat
JP - The Flaming Lips, Circa Waves,

I like this. Though I'd say Specials too low, LG/Iggy too low & Erasure/NG/Interpol unlikely. Sunday night would be a real tricky headliner choice

Interpol headlining Park on this tour is the stuff of dreams though

manics 3rd on other is a bit low for them really. don't reckon either gallagher will be there.

As dental has said they've done it in the past so are about that level, though IF they play this year John Peel headliners would probably be where I'd place them

Neil Diamond

Has done the legends slot in the past, I'd be surprised to see him returning anywhere tbh

It's late, so I'll make my full predictions later, but I predict the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Neil Diamond, and !!! will be in there somewhere.

Neil Diamond has a break in his US tour  - he plays NY on 22/06 and his next one is 14/07. So it's possible but unlikely.

I was gonna do another one from scratch but couldn't be arsed so am just editing my last one to be more up to date with who's around at the time/is still a possibility (stole a couple of good suggestions from Matt's post earlier):

Friday:

PY: Radiohead, The xx, Iggy Pop, A Tribe Called Quest, Clean Bandit, Kris Kristofferson
OS: The Weeknd, Emeli Sande, You Me At Six, Phoenix, The Shins,
WH: Jamiroquai, Solange, Four Tet, Omar Souleyman,
JP: Bonobo, Run The Jewels, Glass Animals, The Kills, Fat White Family,
PA: Crystal Fighters, Teenage Fanclub, Local Natives, Sleaford Mods, Thee Oh Sees,

Saturday:

PY: Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Van Morrison, The Specials, Christine & The Queens,
OS: Alt-J, James Bay, Richard Ashcroft, Metronomy, Die Antwoord, Wild Beasts,
WH: The Jacksons, Jungle, Anderson Paak,
JP: The Flaming Lips, Circa Waves, Mastodon, Spoon, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard,
PA: The Jesus & Mary Chain, Slowdive, Angel Olsen,

Sunday:

PY: Foo Fighters, Royal Blood, The Maccabees, Diana Ross, Blossoms,
OS: Bon Iver, London Grammar, The Courteeners, Liam Gallagher, Father John Misty, Slaves, Mac DeMarco,
WH: Kraftwerk, The Avalanches, NAO,
JP: Justice, White Lies, Wiley, Crystal Castles, Whitney, Parquet Courts,
PA: Warpaint, Grandaddy, Real Estate, Alvvays,

Much like Matt I'm getting old and am not as 'with it' as I used to be, but I think I've filled the Other with a appropriate amount of crap.

Why not? I've got that run down on my prediction. Think ATCQ must be very likely for Friday Pyramid.

Edit: You just predicted it !!

Dear God! There is just a slight hint that you could change your prediction to what I want/Primavera! Haha

Don't think it'll happen as I'm a pessimist and that run is far far too good. A boy can dream though hence why I included it in my prediction. I wouldn't even care about all the heartbreaking clashes if those four acts were on one after the other.

    • Ah, that is interesting and ruins my theory a bit!!   I think my point just about holds though, and coming full circle on this discussion, being a sizable band such as Muse and not being able to sell out two O2 dates very quickly or at all doesn’t fill me with confidence that they be able to do a decent job selling a stadium tour…although maybe if Muse do something about their pricing, maybe they can!
    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
    • Second go.....    Still f**king fantastic - Well done WIlliam Orbit -  Bugman & Trimm Trabb mega tracks - No Distance Left To Run hauntingly Beautiful
