Why does everyone have Kraftwerk down for Sunday? Is there info? Was hoping for a Saturday alternative to Ed myself.

think they've got shows right up until the Friday so guess people are assuming they'd take a day off and then play the Sunday. not sure if there's any more to it than that

I'm in the same boat as you mate, I'm hoping for a bit more of a party on West Holts to finish things off. Something like The Jacksons. Don't think there has been any evidence that Kraftwerk will headline West Holts on Sunday and reckon it's merely wishful thinking.

Friday:

PY: Radiohead, The xx, The Specials, HAIM, Jungle, Blossoms, Michael Kiwanuka
OS: Major Lazer, SOAD, YM@6, Slaves, Empire of the Sun, Kodaline, Peter Doherty, Feeder, Ocean Colour Scene
WH: Chic, The Roots
JP: The War on Drugs, Run The Jewels, Danny Brown

Saturday:

PY: Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Iggy Pop, Prophets of Rage, Christine & the Queens, Seasick Steve, Kate Tempest
OS: Bon Iver, The National, London Grammar, Die Antwoord, Frank Turner
WH: Justice, Solange

OS: Alt-J, Emeli Sande, Metronomy, Schoolboy Q, Travis

A few there a bit higher than I think they will be in reality, but think this is relatively feasible

swap the courteeners and the war on drugs around easily. Courteeners & Foo Fighters would have too much crossover appeal and same with the War on Drugs and Radiohead. Wouldn't be fair for the war on drugs or courteeners

I like your thinking but Nick Cave is in America over Glastonbury weekend. Also no way would QOTSA sub Ed Sheeran, can't see Bon Iver subbing The XX either.

Ah didn't realise about nick cave. Fair on the other points as well. Don't think it would be out of the question with bon iver below the xx but going to swap them and kaiser chiefs. Gonna stick qotsa under Radiohead and put vampire weekend under ed sheeran.  Ah maybe not as can't edit the post.

Cheap Trick could be a possibility - they're playing in Spain on the Friday. One of those bands I've never got around to seeing.

Can someone please make a case for Kasabian? The timing feels right irregardless of their last appearance being three years ago.

Apparently they are headlining Reading & Leeds next year. They wouldn't do Glasto in the same year...

Bonobo shoved in between Justice and Crystal Castles AND clashing with Gold Panda? That's just mean.

The festival is wasted on you

Good to see a few shouts for Hooton Tennis Club; not really my cup of tea to be honest, but the production line being generated by the Edge Hill University 'Label Recordings' (where HTC started before Heavenly grabbed them) looks likely to be a real treasure trove in future when we look back at bands who went on to play the festival.  I've seen all of the bands they have had in the stable and there isn't a dud one there. Feral Love and Oranj Son could both be the real deal.

Nope, the lineup was wasted on me.

Plus maybe I just like to catch a few acts I really want to see now and spend the rest of the time pottering about and exploring. After all, it's not all about the music, I find loads to do in the circus fields as well.

You've stuck Jagwar Ma in twice so I've gone to see them twice.

Struggling for a decent sub on Saturday and a Bon Iver vs Flaming Lips clash would be pretty grim but not unlikely. I'd love to sign off the weekend at The Park for First Aid Kit.

    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
