Richard Ashcroft is perfect for the Other Stage.

Northern, shit and famous for one song released back in the day? Got to be the Friday Secret Guest(s).

I don't personally think there is any chance of it. None of the acts to do it are close to as big.

In that case I stand corrected on that. He's still not headlining the other stage though

He has sold out the standing instantly at least and some rear seats where you can't see didly and very high more expensive seats left.

You are probably correct, I did put Other sub though with the maybe tag on headliner which no I agree he won't. But equally he's not playing secret opener I doubt either. At the time, none or Kaisers, Beady Eye or James this year were/are....not sure about Kaisers arena tour sales, as big.

No room for The Weeknd but I think he'll probably be a Reading exclusive anyway. Also Hozier and James Bay will have to squeeze in somewhere high up if their next records are ready by next summer but hopefully they won't be.

Hoping sticking a load of dreadful North West tat on JP on Sunday night makes the Roses' crowd nicer than it might otherwise be

Flaming Lips will probably play instead of The Jacksons but I wanted to be optimistic.

I know but he's on Strictly so he's about to have the biggest career resurgence since Craig David, you see

I did not know that. And yeah, knowing Craig David was doing all the arenas next year had me in the doldrums for a while.

That 1st 3 for Other on Friday if it happened is ace.

Weezer on Saturday, that is all that's needed. I do think however that they headline JP.

I think John Legend for Sunday 3rd is a great shout. Bastille aren't subbing Other again, realistically they could be booked for Pyramid sub this year but I don't think they'll play as others will. LG is in no way clashing with The Stone Roses when he's getting paid jack all for the slot.

It's defo one of the better predictions overall I guess though,

Primal scream 3rd down on other??? Really???

i'm guessing you think that's too low for them? i think they'd be more likely to headline the John Peel these days myself - their slot in 2013 was incredibly generous and only given at the request of the Stones, and their new album just kind of came and went without making a splash. they were only given such a prominent slot in 2011 because the Screamadelica tour was awesome, so them just playing a normal set? much lower down in 2017

Yeah I wasn't sure where to put Bastille so I resorted to sticking them underneath Sande, purely to make the top of Sunday Other younger-skewing to compensate for Roses and Cave on the Pyramid. Definitely don't see them subbing the Pyramid under any circumstances and especially not in a stronger year. They'll hopefully end up as a Reading exclusive and not trouble Worthy Farm at all.

Also apparently these 'new' albums I thought Crowded House had coming out are in fact only reissues of old stuff so they can be sacked off as JP headliners in favour of The Flaming Lips or BBK.

The Jacksons sat night would be fucking brilliant. Good call.

Other stage looks too good apart from Wombats judging on recent years.

I'd we'll take that line up though

To be honest I would say that playing before the Stones would be a bad move for any established band, crowd didn't get into it at all which was a shame, me and a few mates got a some dirty looks whilst singing and dancing to them, and their Screamadelica headline slot on the other stage was amazing!! Saw them at common people Oxford in the summer and in my opinion are better than 3rd up on other

I'd say them playing Common People in Oxford suggests they're not.

If you are putting in general terms a R&L act as a sub then they are big enough for Pyramid sub.

I think they could be an English Exclusive but they are big enough to sub without being an only fest now so I'd expect them to sub probably T too, under Biffy or Coldplay easy.

I've no doubt they could be seen as big enough through favourable spectacles but it just doesn't 'feel right'. They took so damn long to get out that second album but still continued doing the festival circuit every year despite that. Even for those who found them exciting initially the buzz around them must surely be long gone now.

Question, why is The War On Drugs on so many stage predictions? There isn't a new album coming, or is it? I'm not really following up I'd like to know, love the band..

Also I've no clue about the popularities of bands and such in GB bc I'm from Belgium, but I tried ya know.. I've made a schedule for Rock Werchter recently and just added a few names from here and there to complete it, only thing I question myself if Nick Cave would perform with his recent album, I mean..? Also didn't include those poppy acts liked Emilie Sande, Lady Gaga, John Legend and others because it just doesn't feel normal to me that a pop acts would be followed by for example a Radiohead haha :P

Friday

Pyramid: Daft Punk - The National - Diana Ross - Lorde - Kodaline - Blossoms

Other: Major Lazer - Paolo Nuttini - George Ezra - Christine & The Queens

JP: HAIM - Jamie T - Anderson .Paak - White Lies - Vance Joy - Glass Animals

WH: Die Antwoord - Nick Murphy - ZHU - Banks - Snakehips

Park: The Avalanches - Warpaint - St Vincent - MO - Rhodes

Saturday

Pyramid: The Stone Roses - Elbow - Royal Blood - Kaiser Chiefs - Kate Tempest

Other: The xx - Frank Ocean - The Lumineers - Nao

JP: The Flaming Lips - The Hives - Circa Waves - King Gizzard - Parquet Courts

WH: Kraftwerk - Empire Of The Sun - Jack Garratt - Mura Masa

Park: Panic! At The Disco - Clean Bandit - Lapsley - The Japanese House

Sunday

Pyramid: Radiohead - Arcade Fire - Passenger - Lukas Graham - Nathaniel Rateliff

Other: Bon Iver - Ben Harper - Cage The Elephant - Dua Lipa - Nothing But Thieves
