Clashes (Radiohead v Sufjan is insane) are even worse on this one but it's a good effort.

Tho despite the popular 'Vaccines demise' trope; they're not playing 1pm on any stage. They should have a new album out before the next fest so I could see them headlining John Peel.

Sufjan Stevens causing a hideous clash in my lineup?! I should have known better...

Friday

Pyramid - Daft Punk // The Weeknd // The 1975
Other - Nine Inch Nails
JP - Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls

Saturday

Pyramid - Ed Sheeran // Bon Iver // The National
Other - The xx
JP - Pixies

Sunday

Pyramid - The Stone Roses // Royal Blood // Iggy Pop
Other - Major Lazer
JP - Twenty One Pilots

The Roses would have a dancey sub I reckon, they tend to be a fan of them.

who though? struggle to think of an appropriate one who'll be active next year other than something a bit crap like Chase & Status. although that said, i'm currently in the mind frame that the Roses won't be doing it next year so it doesn't matter much to me

To be honest I'd feel the need to see them even though I have no real need to so if they don't play it's fine.

Not a prediction, a request - Get King Gizzard back!

They were phenomenal last night. They played the first half hour of Nonagon infinity (as on the album, no stops). Then paused, went into in your mind fuzz, cellophane, a few tunes I didnt know, the river then back to Nonagon infinity.

The atmosphere was fantastic. Not many phone recordings, just people loving it.

4th time I have seen them in 18 months. Easily the best.

Get them back. In the JP.

Loved the Parrots before them downstairs too. £15 a ticket. Possibily the best value gig Ive ever been to. The Wytches after King Gizzard were ok, but Id rather have finished with Gizz or even the Parrots.

Yep they were awesome. I want to see them crack a big stage though so maybe double duty early Py/OS and evening John Peel, and WG as well. Won't get near Crow's Nest for it so that's not a priority.

I left after Gizz because I've seen The Wytches before and they're not good. Missed Parrots as well as I was waiting for Gizz but The Big Moon were awesome - Methyl Ethel were p good too.

I feel like we need a rolling King Gizzard thread as they're invading all the threads. Someone hook me up.

I always think of Warpaint as a bit Radiohead-esque. I'd be gutted with a clash there, move them to Friday please ;)

almost definitely

I've wondered about this actually; they played consecutive years plus consecutive Hell Stage slots on the first album then this album they were nowhere to be seen. I read someone on these forums say that they were escorted off grounds and banned from Glastonbury after one of their performances (which I instantly called bullshit on because they played consecutive years) but maybe it did actually happen after last year. If anyone knows more on this I'd love to know yo.

Yeah I quite liked them already but I've really gotten into them since. Gutted I missed them at Glastonbury for Little Simz which ended up being the worst thing I saw. Hopefully they'll get a Park/John Peel gig next year - there should be an album by then.

Good line up; Bon Iver vs NIN seems a bit weird because I think the former would attract a bigger crowd to the John Peel so I dunno. Are Vampire Weekend actually set to return soon? I've noticed them in a few predictions but one of them just announced a new project so their break might not be quite over yet, sadly.

yeah Bon Iver vs NIN would suck and you may be right about the crowd thing so i guess Bon Iver's day could change (probably to the Friday as i don't believe they'd have Bon Iver vs Radiohead)

as for Vampire Weekend, i was under the impression that they were working on new music and i just presumed they'd have something ready for next year but it may not be the case. seemed a bit stale to stick em third down Pyramid again but it just seems like the best slot for them - they nailed it both previous times i thought, even if they didn't draw the biggest crowds

Haven't VW played that exact slot a few years back?

I doubt The XX are going to play that slot when they wouldn't seemingly a few years back on Other.

The National have had every chance to be there.

Nice addition of Grizzly Bear, HAIM subbing Other I'm not sure.

Jack Garnant would probably be higher and not a great alternative on Sunday so probably up to see Arcadia again and chill out up the hill weather dependent after RTJ.

Vampire Weekend played the same slot in 2010 as well as 2013 so i don't see why not. struggle to think of another appropriate slot for them really, although i guess they could move up to sub next time round

The xx will probably end up headlining Other if they play, but they subbed Bestival in 2012 and it was ace so i don't see why they could't do it at Glastonbury if given the chance

you say 'have had every chance to be there' as if Glastonbury has asked them every time. they'll have a new album out next year to promote so it's a far better time for them to play than the past few years where they've just been touring old material

HAIM could take numerous high slots really so just slung em there. could well end up having a decent Pyramid slot

True, not sub, they haven't gotten bigger...smaller if anything.

Bestival is later in the year so gets darker quicker.....bit of a difference there.

Oh of course but there has been 3 years worth hasn't there where they have been about before and either weren't asked or didn't play whatever the reason. It's generally a case that if you were around 2 years running that one of those you are going to get asked if they want you and if you want to play then one of those you will.

they've hardly gotten smaller - just been away for a while. if they can keep up the critically acclaimed albums then they ain't gonna be falling down any lineups

even so, i doubt they'd let a little bit of light ruin their set. a sunset slot on the Pyramid would be huge for them. but again, they'll probably end up headlining Other again

and tons of acts (Beck and ZZ Top for instance) have toured around Glastonbury numerous times but not played until the third/fourth time round so don't see why it'd be any different for The National

I know of Beck one year and aren't ZZ Top money chasers?, still fair though.
