Yeah I quite liked them already but I've really gotten into them since. Gutted I missed them at Glastonbury for Little Simz which ended up being the worst thing I saw. Hopefully they'll get a Park/John Peel gig next year - there should be an album by then.

RE FWF: i've not heard this before but it wouldn't surprise me. They've done gigs covered in their own shit and took shits on stage and all sorts before... god love them haha

RE TBM: I didn't kbow who they were until like a month ago! Gutted I missed them at glasto.... hopefully next year :

Weren't TSP actually the headliner and not The XX though?

yeah it could be looked at that way, but The xx were on last so still technically headlined, even if it was more their need of darkness that got them that spot. same thing could happen for The National

I'm going by that The XX has more set time than TSP, I believe.

Well Foo's aren't going to purely hold their tour off until Glasto is back surely and with them having to make up for the cancel. It usually is the other way around but oh well, I doubt Glasto will care on that score, that will be 6 years since the Foo's at Reading. It may well come down to whether promoters are going to let them do their own outdoor shows as well as Reading. I guess Arctics have in 2014, Green Day did in 2013 so imagine if Foo's said we'll play there as long as we can do our own dates earlier in the year they would accept knowing Glasto was probably the following year.

If they're happy to have Muse touring Drones a year after they've done Download I'm sure they'd be happy to have Foos the year after Reading.

it's more of whether Glastonbury will bother pursuing them again. loads of acts/headliners who backed out for one reason or another and then never ended up being invited back to take care of unfinished business for one reason or another

True but with Glasto seemingly only being after massive headliners now there really aren't too many options and Foos are a perfect one for them to book and they've never played there. Can't see them not pursuing them next time they're available.

Of course they will, they have tried for ages and the one time they said yes over the money he broke his leg. 

Provided they are back up and running and in Europe, I don't see anything but a lock.

was it reported that they'd been after them for ages? guess it makes sense but i don't remember hearing anything like that. yeah i fully expect them to be there in the next few years - just speculating. guess with there becoming fewer and fewer more appropriate headliners it'd be stupid to not try again for one of the most bankable

Neil said in the past they had always chose the likes of Reading for the money instead when asked so they finally got them to a point of willing to play for the smaller fee.

I think more and more festivals are changing how they book bands, Glasto showing they will have a headliner whether in their 1st touring year or not, Reading booking more headliners that have other shows too as the pool is smaller so it's get what you can or lose out totally.

They would play at least 3rd, possibly even sub. 3rd down would just be the same position practically.
