I was lucky enough to get a good crowd around me. I was stood by a guy who could tell what song it was by the sound of Ed's guitar as he tuned up.

Some pretty glorious moments there, particularly Lotus Flower.

Lotus Flower was my highlight too. Sounded so big

Tour dates next year will most likely be south america id imagine?

South America and Australia is what’s been mooted for a while so those are probably safe to assume.

Further afield, I read a post on another forum that there was a later removed article saying they were coming to North America again. Wouldn’t be surprised if they played like a week in Europe over festival season too (maybe the later end which they’ve missed out since ‘09) but that’s purely speculative and not necessarily UK dates I suppose.

Hell of a long shot, but does anywhere know where I might be able to get my hands on the tour date T-Shirt from the tour this summer? Couldn't nab one at either gigs and was holding out for WASTE to stock more but they've seemingly taken down the T-Shirt from the store, no luck on eBay either :(

A big London date is surely a possibility. They did the Roundhouse dates in 16 but haven't done a big show of their own down south since 2012 have they?

So I know how much everyone love TheNeedleDrop who I find irritating as hell. To add to his failings, he's only gone and committed heresy by not going putting '9. Pablo Honey'. His crimes against music continue to add up one-by-one.

Give Up The Ghost is by far better than anything that Pablo Honey can offer.

Lotus Flower. Underestimate it at your own peril.

Some interesting points on there, but I did notice that the credulity of the 'secrets' was inversely proportional to the intensity of the music. Nice editing and song choices though.

Also, it was seemingly made before Rachel's death, which obviously adds an additional tragic dimension to the song.

Arcade Fire at York Hall takes the crown for me this year.

Gigs of the year so far:

1. The National - Hammersmith Apollo

2. Arcade Fire - Castlefield Bowl

3. Radiohead - The Pyramid

4. LCD Soundsystem - Ally Pally

5. Wolf Alice - Ally Pally

9. Pablo Honey: A live experience on kazoo - My house.

Which night did you see The National? Seemingly the night you did would dictate where you might place it on the list.

    • I am very possibly wrong about this but I do think that the pitch you get allocated appears to be related to your time of arrival, (i.e. you get the next one available) rather than the price you paid for a small, medium or large pitch.  They all appear to be the same size to me.

    • Liddle: "Drop a small nuclear bomb on Glastonbury to immediately remove from our country almost everybody who is hugely annoying.”   Farage: Free speech!    Polanski: accepts a collaboration on 20 innocuous looking set of photos on instagram but doesn't notice that one that says 'making plans for Nigel' with a guillotine image.   Farage: I expect the MET police to arrest him.
    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
