The pegs for my tent were coming out of the ground in my garden during the test run. And that was a couple of weeks ago when the weather was nice. No idea how they're gonna stay in the ground with how it's looking at the moment

Any amount of sun will do over the coming days. Has anyone seen that vid of someone travelling down the A37? Shit your pants stuff. I reckon we'll not see a drop by the time we're all cruising in Tuesday night / weds morning though. Things are looking up!

Just taken a look at the Netweather forum and it's looking positive in there. Most of the models now agreeing on a warm up and I'd expect the Met Office to change to a better outlook for next week. Even the BBC weather app, one of the most negative, looks good, can always add a few degrees on their temps too!

I'm actually feeling quite positive. The forecasts seem to be getting slightly better each time and the ground has 4 full days to dry out. The temperatures seem to be creeping up so that should help.

Might bring my snorkel

Fortunately, it looks like they've managed to divert all the water onto a side wall, and are having all the trucks drive along the wall to preserve the ground- we might be okay

I'll join you on this.

It's a well known place for flooding, they've got stuff to put on the mud/puddles so by the time we get there it'll be flipflops all around! :)

Me too. It's not going to be a scorcher, but by Wednesday all will be well, looking at the current forecast.

A bit of wind will help dry the ground too. I'm (hoping to be.....) on site on Monday. I'll eat some beans before I go...:D

The main worry now is whether the site will dry before opening time- parking will be a nightmare otherwise, and I remember the bus drop off point can get flooded (it did in 2007)- will be chaos if there is significant rain on the Monday/Tuesday.

    • Cool, if potentially completely exhausting, idea.
    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.
