Have a look on the webcam - by where JP used to be...looks pretty flooded to me! Eek! Plenty of time to try out though (which is just as well!)

Joy. Though I'm not surprised by water or electric given the conditions they've been having to work in.

2014 was the wettest Glasto I've experienced... and guess how much fun I had?

Who cares if it's raining? Yes, it's better if its sun shining and nice out. But this is England.... nothing wrong with a bit of rain...

Sadly this is true, thunder lightning and torrential rain.  BUT all the drainage that has been installed will sort.

I have a feeling naughty corner will not be open on time tho.

a couple of dry days will rectify.

I can't look at any more forecasts, they are making my eyes hurt.  I don't get how they can all be so different though.  Surely they use the same / similar models?  Is it all down to interpretation??

Anyway I've just had a chat with my OH and we've decided that even if it's ponchos and wellies all weekend we are going to have a fantastic time.  Life's a bit stressful at the moment (in a good way) so getting away from everything for a few days will be ace.  I'm looking forward to our biggest decision of the day being what drink to have at what time

So - we've dodged a bullet and no mistake.

Yes whatever is in store for us next week I don't think it will be anything like the last few days. In many respects we are very, very lucky.

Weather has been awful this week, including today, so was always going to be a lot of standing water given the site is a bowl. Weather looks dry for next 48 hrs, so hopefully it'll drain away. Looks like more rain on Sunday into Monday, but not torrential like we've had. Hopefully, after that the weather will play ball and only be light showers - if so we're probably OK, if any thing heavy post Monday I fear the worst. If it was this weekend we'd be absolutely and totally fu*ked.

Having checked every forecast site I can, it looks like the worst is over. However, there doesn't appear to be much drying weather over the coming few days. Fingers crossed the drainage works well......
