Oh, and nobody else going to Amsterdam? I'm not sure I can handle the responsibility of being the first person from this forum to see this tour...

Yeah going both nights. Probably even more excited about the 20th than the London gig, given its the first night of the tour and there's so many unknowns.

Radiohead haven't headlined Glastonbury in 13 years. There have been so many times where it seemed obvious they would headline, but they didn't. If there's a chance at all they will play the Pyramid stage this year, even if it's before Adele, i'll take it. This isn't a band that you gamble on.

They could easily do something whacky next year and avoid Glastonbury altogether. They could headline Latitude. They could do Isle of Wight...Hyde Park...who the hell knows?! They've headlined V and Reading since they last played Glastonbury. Hell, they might even tour Asia next summer instead of the European festival circuit.

I'm all in.

^^^second this!!

ive only listened to the album once in full so far but have heard lots of the tracks over the week separately on the radio etc

i need a couple more listens to fully get into it but on first impressions Daydreaming, Decks Dark & Glass Eyes stand out

i also listened to the TKOL for the first time in ages a few days ago, when I first heard about the new album, and had forgotten how good it actually is, Codex is immense

Ha I'll be queueing up from 4.30ish! My other mate who got a pair is going in later with his mate who has never heard anything other than Creep and just wants a weekend in Amsterdam. My other ticket was gonna go to my fiancee but she can't come so sold it at face value to someone from atease who I'll be queueing with. Come find us if you want!

Thank Christ I still have Radiohead, Floating Points and King Gizzaard to provide me with new music listening pleasure, after I have been brutally let down by the Roses.

Ful Stop... currently* my favourite tune on a Moon Shaped Pool. Everything the stone roses were not.

Different, challenging, new.

* my favourite changes

Was gonna give it a while until my next listen but it came on after the album I was listening to so I thought why not.

I think True Love Waits may now be my favourite on it.

I still can't remember how The Numbers goes despite always enjoying it whilst it's playing.

After the whole week digesting this album, I love it (and it comes into its own through headphones, which I highly recommend to anyone who hasn't listened that way yet, and which I can only think was how it was intended) but it doesn't yet have the gravitas of In Rainbows for me. In Rainbows is my favourite album of all time (if I had to pick). I didn't call it that before loving each track, in its own right, so I need to give AMSP time and space. My opinion could change but it's gonna take 100+ listens. A happy challenge!

aye it doesn't have those 'wow' moments like In Rainbows instantly and still does have with Weird Fishes, Reckoner  etc (for me) but it's still a fantastic album

I felt that wow moment with the numbers.  Had my headphones on and when the strings kick in blew me away.

As if Rise have them in stock! After all that hunting and somewhere as obvious as Rise has them.

I also checked with Rough Trade Notts BTW - they confirmed they will have some in store on the release date (17th?). I would assume that's the same for the London stores.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
