ltfckimbo
No they won't. Stevie Winwood was headlining Sunday but cancelled, but even the poster wasn't changed to reflect that Ash actually headlined. Ash also subbed the Other on the Friday. Which is a bit of a kick in the nuts for anyone who imagines it has to be a big band that replaces the Foos. Don't think that is particularly relevant, the profile of the headliners has changed a fair bit since then.

Spindles
Well, another interesting year of ups and downs. I say bump flo up and get the foals in before, myself, but I know that wouldn't be a popular choice. I reckon it's going to be Blur or Coldplay though. billum
Get F Mac in - if they're playing somewhere else, let them down gently. It's what we do round here now. They've done their IoW duty, nothing to stop them.
mattiloy
Libs surely? None of the other suggestions appeal to a similar crowd as the foo fighters. You are not going to placate a load of foo fighter fans with Taylor Swift - be reasonable. Personally though, I'd love Sir Van Morrison. There shouldn't be a need to placate I do think it's more likely to be a guitar band though. My front runners would be Blur or Coldplay If they were to pull out something outside of the most likely ones, it would be a legendary moment Edited June 16, 2015 by Alcatraz

ltfckimbo
Imagine the logistics of sorting this mess out. That's why any replacement has to be not much more than a couple of guitars and a drum kit in terms of a stage show, talk of ACDC and the like is mental. Tigerdragon
Did gorillaz satisfy your average U2 fan? I doubt they'll feel bound to get a rock band. They'll get what they think is the best available. Libertines is a good shout.

Stokesy10
I found out the news from the Facebook page, forgot rule #1 of the internet; never read the comments! "Only band worth watching at the whole thing :(" When the Foo Fighters are invited back this imbecile is going to be trying to get tickets again next for year, when another round of devoted efesters will inevitably experience the gut-wrenching disappointment. Drop in the ocean, I know, most Glastonbury goers are wonderful people, but it just aggravates me. Haha mate I saw that, it's me that's responded to her asking if she wouldn't be bothered about the other 1000 acts. But it's ok usually just 'watches it from home' so that explains everything!
