So who is going to replace Foo Fighters?

42 can't type for shit tonight.

I reckon Emily should put her money where her mouth is a get Flo there, it makes so much sense. British, female, ripe for the boost, history with the festival, it's ludicrous they got The Who instead of her as it is.

...#1 US album...

Can't see it being a massive name act due to the short notice, plus a Stone Roses or ACDC type act probably wouldn't want to be seen as a last minute 4th choice headline

Most obvious one seems to be to bump Florence up the bill and bring in a sub headliners that's more an up and coming band who normally wouldn't be that high up the bill but who can grab the attention that spot brings

Feel for the Foo's pulling out, but personally was off to watch stuff on the other stages anyway

there would be in the eyes of the average fan, Kanye and TS headlining? there would be a lot of negative press

It will still sellout in under an hour next year, how the festival responded the childish reaction to Kanye playing showed they won't give a hoot about the negative press.

You're a disgrace to your avatar.

She's headlining 2016, around about January she'll put out her 6th album, an experimental psych-rock odyssey, with strong African influences, and traces of classic music,  then she'll unleash in on Glastonbury with a 3 hour set which spans her whole career.

Surely Florence will be bumped up? Especially after Emily saying she could headline.

Yeah that's the way I'm looking at it. Given the situation and Emilys previous comments, then unless there's someone absolutely massive available it'd be a pretty big insult for the Festival to go looking for someone else.

More likely that Florence gets bumped up, and if there's a new act added it'll be further down the stage.

People calling for James to headline now Charlatans to sub?

I don't wanna sound like a c**t but it isn't 1997

You are, and a clueless one too! James have been selling out tours since they reformed back in 2007, have released nearly as many albums since then than before, are on the bill at a shed load of festivals and are far better on the stage than fucking Flo, Libs, Swift and 95% of others already mentioned!

And on that note, what about Pulp?

Don't think that is particularly relevant, the profile of the headliners has changed a fair bit since then.

Indeed it has, but even so they went with Other stage subs at the time. Ash were nowhere near Stevie Winwood of terms of profile, and Kula Shaker certainly weren't for Neil Young.

With only two weeks to prepare for a new headliner their choices are limited, even more so when you consider that some acts' management will use the opportunity to try to hold the festival over a barrel for payment.

Unless her stage set is in anywhere near the UK then it ain't going to happen, I can't see Kylie doing a Dolly type set yet, it just ain't her style.

I'm seeing Kylie on Friday at Newmarket Racecourse, so she's definitely around, not on the same scale as a full gig obvs but she's a practical lass I'm sure she could make it work!

Still want Blur though...

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
