Taylor is in London.

(I need to stop getting stupidly excited but it is nice to have that buzz I'd usually have the Tuesday before.)

Is she? She was isolating in Nashville last I saw. Has she now come over here?

Well this is exciting! Certainly hope it's not Taylor instead of playing next year 😂

Does make me think the secret sets are going to be live...has to be Coldplay surely?

Oh yeah gotta be nailed on for at least one of them!

I just cant see them having a big live act there, it will be a security/policing nightmare, there must be expecting loads to turn up over the weekend already without a rumour of a big act performing live, they simply wont be able to stop people getting to the site without a fence and as soon as people see punters there it will be a free for all for hundreds more to head to the farm. Too much of a health and safety risk, people will camp there all weekend if they could and the police wouldn't allow it, and it might create licencing issues for future years? They might have a One show broadcast there, and have prerecorded sets from the site over recent weeks, but I cant see big  live acts there this weekend

The cynic in me tends to agree although if it's true they have security at the gates and it's a big act doing a low-key, surprise acoustic performance I could see that happening. They'd have to be incredibly careful though.

I bet they turn the camera off soon ;)

True though - they've got to be careful how they play it else there's a danger it'll be like the pre-fence days all over again - probably without the crusties and 'New Age' travellers mind.

But if theres no fence where would the security go, its s huge open area, anyone could get in without too much effort I would have thought, it's just a load of big fields with not a lot of stopping anyone from moving from field to field if they wanted to. I cant see how they can stop people getting in if they were determined enough

I agree with you but I'm not sure how many would really try? So far it's just us nerds that have noticed the webcam. If it's kept under wraps until it happens I think they could be okay, but only like I said if it's a small scale acoustic thing. Who knows, could be everything or nothing!

Security at main gate access points....then a fenced enclave that we can see with additional security....and a patrol to pick up anyone who gets in.  Reasonable with low number expectations....

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
