I reckon they thought they could finish it today but they lost the light and just said " well there's always tomorrow"

considering they seemed to get the majority of it done in a couple of hours at the end of the day it'd be a bit of a fuck up if they'd planned it to be finished today but somehow didn't manage it despite having all day to do so. can't have taken that long... this must be part of the plan

That would be pretty crap marketing, think they're all a little slicker than that .... I'm going with the media hype/attention build for tomorrow's confirmation.

Agreed.  You've got to think that if they were going to do this it would have been given a couple of test runs away from the cam to get timings right.  I just don't see them doing this on the fly with a rough "yeah, I reckon it'll be done by the end of the day" approach

Does this kind of explain why they asked GlastoMaps to stop using images?

Cant see how an image of the festival in full swing could affect it to be honest. So no would be my answer. Another reason that eludes me.

    • I take my lad to the local non-league club - Royston Town - not he's 13, he goes there with his mates and he plays in their youth team.  Not many people there - lucky if they hit 800, but lovely supporting the town team.  I've took him to some league clubs too - Cambridge and Stevenage are great to visit and not crazy prices - his first one was Cambridge v Sunderland (I'm a mackem) when they were in league 1, so a great experience for him.  The England matches aren't too bad value either at Wembley - it's just the parking that stings you. Problem is, he's a City fan, so at some point have to bite the bullet and get him up to the Ethiad. Have done the tour, but he'd love a proper game....my wallet, less so!
    • Said it before, but if Annie Lennox is available next year, then it would be an absolute crime to instead book anyone else. She's rare and legendary enough that you drop all other plans.
    • I was having a tired day, my apologies 😂
    • I was there with Oxfam too! I got earlies so it was probably me who registered you on arrival 😀
    • Slightly unexpected, but Shambala is discounted on TfG.   Works out at about £215 after discount which is about a third off.
