I think Tame Impala would get lost on the Pyramid tbh. Perfect Other Stage headliner.

if Alt-J can do it then Tame Impala certainly can. got far more bangers and are a bit meatier in sound, anyway. still sticking with my third down on the Sunday prediction

Was alt-J on the Pyramid a resounding success? I don't think I've heard one opinion on their slot - it could quite easily not have happened. Either way I think Zac is right but they're more likely for the Pyramid anyway having played the Other Stage quite recently and, of course, we've pretty much sorted our Other Stage headliners.

I saw the last 20-25 minutes or so of Alt-J, admittedly from quite far out to the side, but they were quite dull tbh. The crowd didn't seem too into it either.

I'm completely with you on that one. Perfect timing for them. I'm not the biggest Alt-J fan but I enjoyed their set last year. Perfect for feeling shitty and knackered on a Sunday afternoon.

What is the concensus regarding the Sunday sub? My brain is mush this week and I can't remember if anyone has been strongly rumoured.

when has that ever mattered? agree with you about Alt-J happening without much reaction but they - like Tame Impala - are a huge act who've just managed to break through to the mainstream, and what with them having done Other (where they'd probably fit in more) last time, Pyramid it is! think Tame Impala will kill it on the Pyramid myself, much more than Alt-J seemingly did

I actually sorta enjoyed that Alt-J set. Certainly better than the other two times I've had to see 'em.

Anyway, Tame Imapal are future festival headliners so need to be stepping up and proving they can fill out stages like the Pyramid - which I'm confident they can do.

'Cos Zac said how he thought they'd fare on the Pyramid and you said "if Alt-J can do it then Tame Impala certainly can".

I think I'd prefer them third down the Pyramid just because the threat of the cursed Saturday sub slot is too real.

Alt J were superb. Serious fun was had that day. Extreme happiness overload with Lionel then Alt straight after.

don't think they're quite big enough to sub anyway so i'd be surprised if they were booked for such a slot. third on Sunday or Saturday (but i'm expecting Sunday)

Alt-j were very good, though would've been better in the dark with more of a lightshow. Perfect setlist for me too - no filler in sight.

Forced my way into the pit after Lionel (a challenge!), and everyone there was into it. Can see Tame Impala doing the same.

I am. I'm always on my guard for Ellie fucking Goulding. Her shit songs pop up everywhere. Be prepared.

I will be honest here, I quite enjoyed her at V a few years ago. Bruno Mars, Scouting For Girls and Ellie Goulding was a pleasant afternoon.
