I doubt he'll have a new album out so soon - three year gap between his last two and he's such a huge name that he can go away for as long as he wants and not be forgotten about. There's no rush for a new album. Plus i imagine R/L will be the first to book him as a headliner rather than Glastonbury

Yeah but he seems to be producing a lot of material at the moment. Just look at the new songs he's performed since TPAB came out. And by the 2017 festival it will have been 2 years and some since his last album. I believe!

AC/DC are playing early June in london/manchester, also my dad told me that the real XS radio station did say AC/DC will be playing/heavily rumoured. I think theres still as much chance as them playing as anyone else really, and I hope they're!

I know Rihanna was mentioned as a headliner here. Strong rumors at the match in Sunderland on Saturday that her whole tour is close to been cancelled with awful ticket sales.

Last time I saw them...

AC/DC would slay the Pyramid field. They are by far the most exciting live band on the planet. I STILL think it could definitely happen. What an opportunity to show that they can still cut it even with the problems they have had over the last few years. Those who haven't seen them before will shake their heads in awe and wonder. I was at that Donington show by the way.

Don't think so. Just been on The Graun and they seemed overkeen to mention that they're playing a stadium tour as well as G.

I've seen no lists on them on efests so far.... most surprising....

1. Parachutes

2. AROBTTH

3. Erm.....

4. Hmmm...

Mylo

AROBTTH

Erm why? He's one of the biggest acts in the world right now, at the absolute top of his game. There's a pretty good chance he'll have a new album out by the 2017 festival as well - it is almost a year and a half away

No he's not. If he was, he'd be heading festivals all over the world right now.

Come on Fuzzy, bit unfair to start the Ed Sheeran bashing now. The poor soul is going to cop for a full 12 months of it once this year's festival is out the way.

Not a headliner question and I apologise for this but I'm a massive poetry fan. This year will be my first year going, is there a poetry tent there? If so does anyone know who will be playing there? John Cooper Clarke perhaps? I'm sorry I couldn't find a decent thread for this!

Cabaret tent has a few poetry acts through the day, as well as the other spoken word areas.  Great place to spend some time and a fantastic atmosphere when it is raining and the crowds are drawn in.

And if we're doing lists.

1. AROBTTH
2. Parachutes
3. Half of whatever that next album was.
4. A Quarter of the following album.
5. Little and less from there on out.

    • I'm 59. It's not so much the music as the camping/late night chaos I've grown out of at R+L. If I was still local to Leeds I might still be persuaded for a day ticket if the lineup was to my taste.
