Mr West Holts. What a cool name. Should be a 70's television detective.

Chicago native West Holts was arrested by policeman Rex Banner yesterday for the making and supplying illegal alcohol.

Also, I need some help guys, one of the friends I'm going with to latitude has suggested seeing the vaccines over portishead - how do i tactically back out of said friendship?

The mere suggestion gave me shivers.

On related portishead-love, i pity any who were at the Arctic Monkeys on friday 2013 :(

No need to lose a friend, just meet up for the bands you both want to see and go your own way for others.

At Glastonbury I meet up with friends when they are watching bands I want to see and then move on again. You shouldn't have to compromise your festival for friends.

Next years festival I might be taking my kids to the festival and then I would be making endless compromises and I accept that as a parent, but I don't think friendships should be so demanding on your time.

Would love to see Portishead, have fun :-)

Really wish i could afford time off work for Latitude as well as Glasto, only caught last 20 mins of Portishead in 2013 due to watching first half of AM Zzz.

I did see Portishead at the "secret" Acoustic Tent show in 1995 though :)

That wasn't a secret set, but seeing Evan Dando being booed off made the festival for me that year.....

A Wednesday announcement happening on the same day registration ends for the resale can't be coincidental, so I think it'll come after registration finishes, probably 6pm or 7pm.

I can't see any Facebook post by Mr West-Holts that confirms he said the line-up is coming this week, so it looks like it may have been removed(?)

Yeah not strictly secret hence the quotation marks... as i recall they were not part of the officially annojnced line up though? the first we knew they were playing was reading the program in our tent!? and yes the Evan Dando thing was pretty funny, if not really in the "Glasto spirit"

So if it is to be Wednesday what time are people thinking?

I've got an exam on Wednesday which starts at 12.30, so it will almost certainly be released at about midday - meaning that I'll get to catch a very quick glimpse of it before having to turn my phone off, and then I will not be able to concentrate for the entirely of the exam time. :lol:

Depends on how many tickets they have for the resale. If more than usual then in the morning (but if that was the case think they would have announced by now).

Think it will be after registration closes. 6pm on Steve Lamacq on 6 Music. Or they will just tweet the link. Don't always go for a radio announcement.

If they had the 3rd headliner to announce then it would almost certainly have been at 7pm on Radio 1.

But as it will probably be a load of names it would be difficult for Radio 1 to have a lead name to hype like they did with The Stones and Metallica.

6 music could dedicate a bit of time to playing some of the stand out bands along with having Emily talk about it over half an hour or so.

But I think the line up will just drop at some point in the day.

I play football 6-7 so a 7pm announcement would be the worst.

Yeah they will just drop the poster online, Radio one normally reel off loads of the bands the are plugging. Iv set up a page monitor so when its updated ill know strait away :)

      If Werchter pulled in Blink and Foos plus like Sabrina if she's touring and got System if they are I'd be more inclined to try it vs RIP if they got Blink, Foos and System. I don't at the moment, maybe reflection will be different, think that RIP is greatly setup for overseas travelling over. It feels more like currently day festival days with a camping over separate rather than hotel as its included.

      I think many US people are fed up with the US and have definitely discovered how amazing it is to come to Barcelona for a better experience and way cheaper than back home.   Surely PS doesnt set up a huge commercial festival only to not put in place a system where QR codes can’t be re-used?

      I also dont think Deftones will tour next year.   But I think RIP will have both Foos and Blink and if SOAD fo festivals that will be your 3.
