It's usually the evening time isn't it? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I think what jamesrfisher said is there abouts. Radio announcement with a tweet / social media update

I hope it's in the evening or I won't get any work done all day. Not because I'd be excited about the line up, but because I'd get sucked into all the chat and hype on here.

7pm would be lovely, but I'll make myself available from 6 just in case.

I sort if hope they don't go down the radio route and just stick the poster up online and send a press release our informing all the media about it.

Either way, since I am on the unemployed bench I only have more job rejection letters to read, so the line up can be release anytime.

I am sure - though please correct me - the first poster last year just dropped............ no announcement noithing.............. 8am I think

It was announced on the music news on 6music, but Matt Everitt had obviously literally just seem it himself as he was far too excited to do a coherent piece!

I was on mh way to work at the time and stuck in traffic at a place with no internet. Those 10 mins till I could get 3G to see the poster online were agony!

I remember that. It made me laugh alot. It's always great to see someone else so excited by the line up, even better when it's live on the radio.

Press do not know when it's coming, until it's just about to come I'd wager.

If it's coming Wednesday I'd imagine it would be in the morning but who really knows... No one it seems!

Nuanced insight there, thanks.

Is anyone else a little sad that this discussion isn't being held in the headliners thread.

But sad that it's degenerated into yet another headliners thread. Some of us actually don't really care. Rest of the line up is much more important.

Has anyone heard of Jhene Aiko, she is in the country playing at some wireless 10th birthday thing on the Sunday , could that make her possible for Glastonbury on the Friday or Saturday?!

Hoping FFS (Franz Ferdinand & Sparks) will be announced

When I first heard what FFS was I was really excited but I just can't enjoy this? not entirely sure why

Hopefully their album will sway me

Possible but she seems to somehow be playing the O2 Arena so she'd probably demand too big a slot.

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
    • Glad I’ve still got it booked off for my 50th
