Managed to get into the main bit of Sonic for Fatboy last year so that was good.

Other than that Loadstar and adapt on the Wow boatparty was good.

Pretty sure Wilkinson will be appearing in Silver Hayes again this year so hopefully will be able to catch him this year.

After seeing Young Fathers last night, I'd be happy enough for them to be in Silver Hayes if it means they're playing in a tent. I'd worry that they'd get lost in a large outdoor venue.

Think they are down for JP if my memory serves me correctly.

That'll do.

That G Hastings was onstage last night dressed like a man who'd gone for a few pints straight from his job in civil service. By god he's some stage presence mind.

Even your corn flakes?

Precisely , why its a problem :P

What are guys all going to do when the lineup has actually been announced? Haha!

Speculate widly on the timings annoucement :P

The bar at The Blues also sells very strong rum based cocktails.

They has a vast array last year, think they were about £6.00 a pop - unfortunately my memory fails me further than that! I wonder why...

Intresting! I shall be on the look out for a bar near the Blues/Gully then!

Silver Hayesis an odd place, still don't think they have got it quite right but I love the effort they have put into it for the last couple of years. Sonic is the main cause, they need just a normal big top don't think it works for anyone unless its a small act on the stage. (Saw Charli XCX there last year and the sound was fine, but was basically just a few people using the middle section.)

The Blues/Gully can be fantastic, the gully is one of my favourite stages. I love the railing/standing/terrancing around it. Makes it feel self contained/smaller for an outdoor stage. The blues just looks alot of fun everytime I pass it and looks damn great!

Everything else is a bit like the sonic and bit meh.

Guesses on the Silver Hayes announcement time? I'm driving to Southampton tonight, so I hope it's not when I'm behind the wheel.

Anytime between now and 8pm.

3pm maybe a good bet if that's what time Avalon released thier line up last week

Terrified myself from returning to the Blues again after experimenting with LSD then ending trapped in one of those containers, thought I was underwater(?)-the thought of returning scares me.

    • I don't think a whole raft of attendees who've been going every year since the mid 90s and mid 10s collectively all thinking the festival is no longer for us suggests we've all aged out of it at the same time. Something fundamental has changed and its pretty obvious what that is. The fact that theyve managed to skinny down the line up so much AND STILL get punters in is a real credit to the bookers, filling it with enough of the current thing to get the kids excited for a weekend while pulling in enough big names to make it worth a day out for the casual Florence fan etc... is impresive. Re Leeds: Annecdotally, from videos, numbers have looked tiny vs Reading, esp on the camping end of things, it would be good to know the official numbers and how much they're down from the peak sell out years
    • Found it, it simply is at the toilets.

    • I mean she's never going to admit it, but of course she would do a deal...same as Labour would with lib-dems/greens if meant getting into government.
    • They probably do make more from the festival. But take a look at an aerial photo from any year - there's always a few fields that would be viable for festival related use yet are left empty. I guess they just don't want to deal with the associated hassle.
