Is there any benefit to staggering the line-up announcement? The tickets are all sold already. Personally I'd like the full line-up sooner rather than later so I can check new bands out before i get to Glasto.

Or do you think some stages are still incomplete, and that's the reason they're stalling?

I like the way they're doing it. There's been loads on the Silver Hayes, Avalon and Common posters that would have probably slipped under my radar if they'd released a full poster and I'd been focused on the main stages.

I don't think anything is probably incomplete but I think it's been an Eavis way for a while now to drop a lineup as late as possible. If it didn't get leaked at all, he'd have you turn up, pick up a program and find out who's headlining there and then.

Agreed. Found The Skints and Flight Facilities already at Silver Hayes while I could be struggling to get through the entire lineup.

Also get the feeling there's gonna be something MASSIVE to come which will be worth the wait.

There's even people that I already really like and want to see, but I just know I would have overlooked on a massive poster. Akala in the Rum Shack springs to mind.

Agreed also. Leftfield (for example) was missed by many and myself looking at one poster nevermind in a 1000 act lineup drop.

But to be honest I'll take any announcement any way.. first time so couldn't care less how or why as long my tent is up Wednesday morning with a can in hand is good times for me.

I think if we told in advanced that the lineup would be released in this way we would have been largely on board. It's a great way to find smaller bands, in particular Avalon for me. In hindsight a little bit of notice about how it would have been released would have been better.

I think it was planned this way by ME and EE, I wouldn't put it down to the problems with the Sunday night headliner as they've had this issue before as seen last year with P****.

But given the first poster has the drip feed of stages changed the way you are seeing acts given what we know? It hasn't for me.

I think we'd all be well happy if the full line up was announced May 1st.

But either by design or necessity this is how it's happening and it's created a fan out of me for a few bands I might never of given consideration too if thing were different.

So even if I don't see these at glasto, it could be fair to say the added publicity from the drip feed has been a boost for some bands. Although I appreciate just being on the bill is good publicity, this could be supporting up and coming bands/djs more than normal.

Yeah they're not sounding great at all. Doesn't help that their new stuff isn't that good and the crowd don't seem into it.

I think around half of it's good and half of it's crap. Though looking at the R1BW setlist, the new ones they played are some of the ones I didn't really like.
