I'm not going to go all A13 on proceedings, but I still believe tomorrow is the day. I certainly know 100% of one announcement and I believe it'll be more than one area being announced. I can't guarantee it's the full line up though. I have no idea on the time of the announcement either I'm afraid :(

You forgot to say patience.

5 weeks to go, could be a late, late full release this year.

I've resigned myself to this idea. The late night area lineups although good for some people do not fill the void for me, I don't listen to that in the comfort of my own home and have spent my nights at Glastonbury aimlessly wandering into places until the beat becomes all too repetitive.

The only late night act I like to see appear are the 2 bears or joe Goddard

My prediction is no announcement today, Glade announcement tomorrow, one announcement on Friday (maybe Shangri-La), no announcement this weekend and then full lineup announcement on Tuesday 26th May because it sounds right.

I would have gone for Monday but it's a bank holiday that day.

If this happens, you heard it from me first :)

Surely the bands that aren't announced yet will be getting a bit miffed, as there is becoming less and less time for us to get familiar with them before the festival.

We've have a month + of getting familiar with the acts on the initial poster, and would guess the majority of us have found somebody they wouldn't mind watching who they hadn't previously considered.

This then obviously leads to people potentially purchasing tickets for their own tour, album, merchandise etc.

I realise the next batch will be 'smaller acts', but that in itself would make my point more applicable.

You are overthinking how much it makes a difference to them.

Without wanting to risk getting banned, I can reveal with absolute certainty that if the full line up isn't released by the end of next week, they're not going to do it until June. Patience.

Couldn't agree more. As a smaller (or less well known) act, the lead up to a festival is almost as important to them as actually playing.

This is my first Glastonbury and I must say that by this stage in the lead up to all other festivals I have been to I would have found far more new acts that I have since been to see (whether at the festival itself or in the months and years after).

The list of acts that I have been introduced to through line-up posters is far greater than the list of acts I have been introduced to through seeing them at the festivals
