I like the area and agree it gets a harsh review. It's just that, musically, it doesn't really have much of what I'm looking for. The venues themselves are cool, and it still feels like a proper, slightly grimy Glastonbury dance area. Just a bit too much of a profile of DnB and Bass for me, tho' if you take some time to look you can often find some old school rave/breaks too - @Supernintendo Chalmers is the master at uncovering these!

I’m not really a fan. Mostly due to the programming tbh (the decor feels pretty dated but it’s forgivable because a) I go every year so just because its not novel to me doesn’t mean it won’t be to others b) as you say it has that old-school glasto feel)

I think if they were a bit more like Temple or Arcadia in having more varied themes on each night they’d garner broader support…

I get that, but the venues are always pretty rammo at peak time (maybe 0100-0400h), so they are catering to a crowd who really love that stuff. It's always funny walking through and listening to relentless 160pbm DnB/Jungle from every venue competing with one another!

Edit: as we've said, roll on Block9 😆

Flashbacks of Phil Hartnoll whenever that was, 2023 I guess.

plenty for me, i dont get why the lineup gets a bad wrap each year, i think its a great area, and visually one of my faves personally

Agree. I was surprised at how many names were heavy pencils for me on this line up.  Lens, [IVY], S.P.Y, Shadow Child all surprised me for not being in bigger settings. What's the biggest capacity stage in Unfairground?

What are you hoping to see on there Captain? Any advanced knowledge of the lineup?

No, no intel on line-up, about which I'm sort of glad, as it's the anticipation of the B9 drop that is one of my very favourite things!

Would LOVE to see Helena Hauff melt IICON with twin vinyl decks. That would be phenomenal. And, I'm really hoping that Wata Igarashi is not coming all that way only to do an ambient set on the Tree Stage. Two hours of him on Genosys and I might just burst.

My dream too Ben. That Glasto shaped hole in her schedule is still there. Fingers crossed...

Could this be the year that Jeff Mills makes an appearance?

The rise of ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U has been meteoric over the past year. A possibility?

The Sub Focus on IICON rumour is a strange one. That would be a departure from the usual policy, unless he's trying something a little different, which would be very interesting. If they're going to retain some DnB on there, Calibre could be a shout, but he's playing twice elsewhere. Multiple bookings are common though.

Richie Hawtin's on site. Be surprised if he plays just the Glade.

I guess we'll find out very soon...

I'm sure Juan Atkins must be on there as he is onsite for the Tree Stage set. Would love that to be a Cybotron set

Another set for Hawtin would work too.

Helena Hauff was awesome in 2023, would love more of that!

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
    • Not my favourite year either, despite liking the lineup more than previous years. Not sure what it was, I guess Thursday really put the brakes on things. But yeah I'll be back next year hopefully. And maybe Massive Attack will return...
    • E-mail summarizing Saturday - Primavera Sound 2026 Journal Day 3. As in previous days, it's going to be on the website soon, I think.
    • I was surprised as well. I met more than 20 different people on both Friday and Saturday that had come in reusing QR codes.
