Is he too big to play 3rd down on Pyramid if Ed Sheeran can?

not sure i understand this question

if Ed Sheeran can play third down then Pharrell can

although arguably after their album sales Sheeran and The Black Keys were booked the wrong way around and Ed shouldn't have played third down

do you mean Ed should have subbed in which case Ed being third down means Pharrell could be third down

in which case yes

but he (surprisingly) didn't even headline Wireless this year

not that surprising given who did

Pharrell more fun that outkast the day before but bruno mars and kanye were on another level.

I agree, he played third down at T so he could do at Glastonbury.

I agree too with Ed, friend said the crowd for Ed was twice the size of black keys.

What?

No, I mean if Ed Sheeran isn't too big to play third down then surely Pharell isn't.

Album sales aren't the only thing which determine an act's slot, and neither is the crowd they draw. For example Fall Out Boy had a much bigger crowd than NIN at Leeds last year; doesn't mean they should have been above them.

Remember when NERD played a few years ago? Sound problems meant they were late coming on stage and had their set cut short. Pharrell mentioned that playing for "250,000 of you guys" blew his mind.

I felt a little sorry for them when they launched into one final song, only to be turned off after about 10 seconds....... It was pretty funny.

Not sure if he's the sort to hold a grudge?

what actually happened was that he and his drummers (x2) turned up late and had to sort out a different setup to what was planned, therefore coming on late, and then being a tit when he got cut short.

Keep that man away from Glastonbury.

It amazes me how he's managed to avoid pretty much all of the blame for Blurred Lines when Robin Thicke has basically had to admit in court that it was all Pharrell's doing and he was just a sleazy sock-puppet.

Then he went and released a video with downright peadophilic connotations and he still didn't seem to get much scrutiny for it. (http://mic.com/articles/101722/pharrell-released-an-insanely-pedophillic-video-and-nobody-talked-about-it)

Basically, I think he's a creep.

in fairness, bill wyman shagged a 13 year old and he headlined without much of a murmer.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
