How does Paul Weller sub the main stage? There was barely anybody there at his Latitude show in 2012, he was the headliner, on his home turf.

One day festival. It's free though so no refunds I suppose.

ah right, well i guess that's that then

The concept of Paul Weller into The Who is just so bloody beige, I can't even be angry about it.

yep! great if you're in to that kind of thing - completely avoidable for me

Wait so te sunday could be a headliner and a sub who've both cancelled dates that have already been announced?

you've got to wonder who Glastonbury originally had in mind / lined up that's caused all of this mess. must've been a damn late drop out for them to go fishing for acts booked elsewhere

So after all this build up its going to be Paul Weller and the who as the mystical headliner and sub?! Underwhelming doesn't go any way to describe it.

Do you think they had something better lined up and it all fell through?

I'd put money on it actually being the Purple Pillock

although the number is probably minimal, you'd be furious if you chose to go see The Who at BST instead of going to Glastonbury. pretty sure there was a guy on here saying he was gonna leave on the Friday to go to BST with his dad and then come back on the Saturday morning, although not sure what happened there, or if he even got a ticket

    • A name I didn’t think of. Maybe too big though. Think he’d go down very well despite being quite controversial.
    • Oh bummer, got excited then 😂   Although if I had read all the way down it would have been a bit of a give away, no other festival will book both of those 😂
    • I think the age of tickets flying out day one for a lot of artists is drawing to a close now, especially with the prices.   There will be exceptions of course, I was surprised how quickly Phoebe Bridgers sold out
    • Tbf they sold out the mainland European shows that follow this UK tour more or less immediately so I guess much of Europe will be stadiums for them next summer regardless and they might want to bring any stadium bespoke production here, even if it's just one night at a London stadium or whatever.    I like the new album and wanted to see them again but £150 for a standing ticket is ridiculous and all the sub-£100 price categories sold out. So you know, would like to go but guess I'm waiting for any last minute dropouts. Tbf I would hazard a guess of these 4 UK shows in November that more tickets are sold than unsold and by the time of the show it'll be, if not a full house, close enough.
    • I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility    It would feel like a bit of waste for their first set in the UK for 12 years be an hour and 10 mins as a sub    A lot of people will buy day tickets just for FNM
