Mani came on right at the end of Brown's set to do IATR and they pulled the plug because they'd over-run. It was all that kept the set from perfect.

Scream that year were amazing! i'd forgotten that. Cheers.

Edit: best evidence I can turn up on a quick google: http://www.john-squire.com/ianbrown/media/manon05-06-27.html

Reading that and seeing Brian Wilson mentioned reminds me how horrifically sunburnt I got that afternoon, funny considering the conditions a couple of days before!

I don't think he'd headline anyway so you're safe for future years.

I just clocked AC/DC aren't on the Coachella livestream which is obviously useless knowledge now but maybe a reason against them in future years.

I believe they are having a few songs shown at a later date but not shown live.

RODNEY BRANIGAN - He usually plays Small World Stage on Wed or Thu. Great introductory dose of 'music' on the first few days before the weekend begins. Terrific showman and cracking bloke. Btw he also sings and he often plays a really cool rendition of Kanye West's Golddigger and Radiohead's Creep.

Shouldn't really share this bloke cos that wee tent can get packed but I'm sure you'll appreciate. Pick up some tasty grub from Green Fields area, sit down and enjoy.

Shall most likely end up catching a set by him again this year. Saw two last year including the one with Tim Snider that he did in a tented stage up in the park area and loved every minute!

I see. That would be a bit crap for Glasto though wouldn't it? Half an hour shown on the following Thursday after the news while the main attraction on the telly on the Saturday night is something like Disclosure.

You mean...there's been NO arguments? Roses4Baggie hasn't offended anyone in the last hour?

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US

It's usually always like this. The rancour is unusual on the Glasto Chat Forum at least.

I'm sure everyone at home will enjoy watching Ben Howard on Saturday night this year :P

Is Kanye unlikely to broadcast? I should think he would. At least, maybe delayed a little to cut out All Day and rant.

I dunno, just when you mentioned AC/DC I remembered that could well be a problem with Kanye too.

I do agree though, I reckon he'll be talked into the benefit of it and allow it to happen.

I presume he will be like Eminem at Reading/TitP for some reason. Proper footage of him live seems to be hard to come by.

    • This is a perfect storm of World Cup / Recession / Rising Costs / Ridiculous Prices / Awul crop of 2026 touring artists and the prices are tanking across the board.   I've been able to acquire 3 different golden circle tickets to stadium shows happening over next fortnight for 50% FV on Twickets by making crazy offers.    I have never seen such a bad Festival headline lineup as 2026. I think the market will get worse before it gets better - but no way people are paying the prices that they start off with for some of these shows.
    • on another note, 3 weeks too early to tell weather wise, apparently they are expecting a heat wave soon but that will have probably past by the time rw comes around. Grim england this week, doesn't really set the hope too well right now but we'll see.
    • I don't think that the insider has ever got much wrong so it does seem like we'll be getting another act, rw always seem to be pretty good listening to feedback, probably why retention is so high so I guess if they can fill that final slot they will, always looked a bit strange on the schedule
    • There is a misconception that off-site camping is run by neighbouring land owners. The majority rent fields off the land owners (Camp Kerela, Pop Up, Ziggu etc), so yes a farmer may make a few quid more renting to a camping company but relationships with Michael et al mean most prefer to rent to the festival. None of the festival's off-site camping is on their own land; Worthy View, Sticklynch, Campervan East, B&W.    Holt Farm is Steanbow Farms land, so it is likely they would rent to the festival rather than a third party.
