or alternatively, I've already told you in a perfectly straight manner, and you're all choosing to ignore it and make up your own inventions instead?

I so hope you are right then Neil. Perversely, you are less than happy. Does this mean a TBC is likely on the poster then or do you think they will announce it?

the only reason we initially joked about there'll being a TBC on the poster is because Prince is an awkward bastard, but honestly, there'd be no reason for there to be one this year - if Prince has agreed to play, then he's playing, and will be on the poster. likewise for Madonna, Flo, whoever else*

*ready to have egg on my face when there's a huge TBC in the centre of our lineup poster now :P

He did, Wooderson.

I'm gonna sit back now and see who else calls this little turd out for being a homophobe.

I will.

I sincerely believe that Roses4Baggie, Techguy and Bonehead are all the same person (possibly others as well). If I'm proved wrong (and I mean properly proved), I will happily apologise, but until then I will ignore all his posts.

By the way , the 'haha' at the end of 'Bonehead's last post was a fucking giveaway.

TBC's to me just scream 'contractual agreements mean we can't confirm yet'.

if they didn't wanna reveal headliner 3 yet.. they just wouldn't do an announcement.

If P*** is headlining and they don't want to announce him yet. I expect us to just get a handful of acts playing, no TBC... just keeping it quiet about the third headliner.

A massive TBC on the poster would probably piss prince off :P

I could understand a TBC for Prince but struggle for Madonna. Unless she's being an awkard bastard too. Maybe ticket sales for her tour come into it.

Can I have my apology now please? As I've already said, I'm not him!

tbh if Madonna doesn't announce herself tomorrow in her interview that'll be the end of her chances as far as i'm concerned - would be weird for her to have an interview so close to the announcement and say nothing. then it'll just be the final battle between Prince and Flo (and the now outside bet of Swift)

also, i doubt her ticket sales could be factored in to it - she will've known the risks of booking a fest before her own tour, and i doubt she can say 'don't announce me until I've sold loads more tickets'. Glasto announce late enough as it is

Unless she does an Arcade Fire, the bit about Glastonbury gets edited out.

I'd add Carlton Cole to that list too, although that's a personal suspicion

I think there is a small chance of it being tossed around almost with a yes if she is and then 1st thing Wednesday morning it being confirmed.

Yeah. The short bit about Glastonbury with Jo Whiley wasn't revealed until after they'd been announced to headline.

ah well there goes my theory then

isn't that exactly what happened with Kanye?

and there also goes my theory

ignore me folks. it's gonna be Madonna isn't it

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
